UpBeat Band is excellent band that will customize their set for the night based on your preferences. Thier music is executed to perfection and everyone will be dancing. Many people at our July 2011 wedding said it was the best band they have ever heard. Aside from the music, thier director Michael Cascio is a dream to work with. He truly just wants to make your reception as great as possible for you. He goes out of his way to accommodate the bride and groom and thier families. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, reasonably priced, well organized, great sounding band!

I feel so lucky that we found the UpBeat Orchestra!! We honestly could not have asked for a better band to play at our wedding!! From start to finish Michael was such a help. Just talking to him gave me the clearest picture of what the whole night would look like, and made me feel more at ease about the entire reception. He helped us to customize our playlist, and they learned and practiced our first dance song and father/daughter song just for us. We have received so many compliments from guests, some who had never heard a band at a wedding and some who were professional musicians. They had the dance floor packed all night with everyone from our friends that are in their 20s to our parents and grandparents and their friends. They were the best part of the night, and our wedding surely would not have been as successful with out them. They played all night and only took only one short break, which is above and beyond what other wedding bands are doing! They are PHENOMENAL! We are now lifelong fans of the UpBeat Band and Orchestra!

Michael Cascio and the Up Beat Band were AMAZING!! Prior to the big event, our wedding reception, Michael was on top of every little detail. He spoke with the venue and made sue everything was going to work the way we needed it to. He was in contact with me throughout every step of the planning. It took so much stress off of me, it was great. On the reception night, he was great. He had everything exactly where it needed to be and everyone where they needed to be. We had the solo pianist for our ceremony, which was awesome. We had the jazz trio for our cocktail hour and dinner hour, which I absolutley loved. Then we had the 10 piece orchestra for our dance party. All I can say is WOW!!!! They were amazing. I have had so many compliments on how great the band sounded, the great songs they chose and how inviting the dance floor was. They even learned our first dance song just for us... now that is service!! I received a compliment that it was the best wedding that they have been to in 20 years because the band was so awesome!!! It made the whole night so much more enjoyable and special. Michael Cascio and the UpBeat Orchestra gave us a wedding of a lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!

Best. Band. Ever. I was a little concerned at first because their prices were so reasonable, however The Upbeat Band couldn't have been better!!!! My wedding was at Medinah Country Club and was Black Tie optional...not that the band needed to dress up, but they did! They looked great! Their music was amazing and they even learned our special songs, which many bands will not do. They did all our requests and started our party just right with Don't Stop Believin'. They add their own special touch to all their songs and keep the party going. They're very organized and really look like they love what they do. I promise...YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!!!

I honestly can say that Michael Cascio and the UpBeat orchestra were fantastic! We ended up hiring them with only a few months before the wedding but we never once felt like we were rushed or running behind, as Michael was constantly there to answer any questions we had. Instead of being overwhelming like other band leaders we had met, Michael was down to earth and easy going and clearly wanted to make our wedding about US and our guests. My husband and I both have a musical background and we can honestly say that UpBeat sounds FANTASTIC! And to top it off, Michael and the band secretly had worked with my little sister and her boyfriend to surprise us with a special performance of my favorite song, "Lucky". It was truly a magical night thanks to UpBeat!

The UpBeat band made our wedding reception amazing. From the first meeting, Michael Cascio did an amazing job of envisioning the type of reception that we were looking for on our wedding night.

Being in our mid 20's, we wanted our reception to not only appeal to our parents/grandparents, but also have our friends on the dance floor all night. They did a wonderful job of incorporating 80's to current (Lady Gaga, Rihanna, etc). We received so many comments from our guests on how packed the dance floor was all night and how great the band was.

Aside from the night of, Michael took it a step further and contacted our caterer and wedding planner to ensure the reception timeline flowed smoothly and that everyone was on board. I can honestly say that the reception flowed perfectly and much credit was due to the Michael's for his effort to make our wedding a success.

We also used the UpBeat band for our church ceremony music. Marchin did a wonderful job and played every prelude, processional, unity candle, and processional piece that I requested flawlessly.

If you are looking for a Chicago area wedding band that is reasonably priced (in comparison to the other bands in the area), I would look no further than the UpBeat band!

The Upbeat Band not only played at our wedding but helped coordinate the entire day. I wanted a band, my wife wanted a DJ, and now after the Upbeat Band played at our wedding she's really glad that I stuck to my guns on this one. We've gotten a ton of feedback from our guests saying how great the band was and how much fun they had dancing all night. Not only did they play great dance music all night, but they were also very helpful with all other aspects of the ceremony and reception. On the day of our wedding our caterer pulled me aside and let me know how great the band leader (Michael Cascio) was to work with and how he made everything so easy. With all of the normal complications that go along with such a big day, it was great to not have to worry about a thing when it came to the music. And I haven't even mentioned how great he was to work with leading up to the reception. He was very detailed and organized (and accessible/responsive) when it came to the planning of the event, and that was another reason we were so relaxed on our wedding day. We highly recommend The Upbeat Band.

The Upbeat band rocked our wedding this September at theWit hotel. They were unbelievable. Every single one of our guests that has spoken to us since the wedding has mentioned how great they were. We have heard comments such as "best wedding band ever" and "they were unbelievable". Here is what made them so fantastic:

1) Flexibility. The band learned a new song to perform for our first dance. It was pitch perfect. Also, my wife and I had very specific taste. Our guests were predominately young, so we wanted to pass on the traditional wedding songs (think Sugar Pie Honey Bunch) and keep the music geared to a younger crowd. The upbeat band delivered. From the first song of the opening set list (Shook me all night long) to other 80's and current hits, Michael orchestrated a set list that had everyone on the dance floor all night long.

2) Stamina. I honestly can't recall if they took at break at all. Think Springsteen-level stamina. Prior to choosing a band we listened to a number of the big bands across Chicago and were constantly put off by long breaks that most groups would take right when things were starting to get going. Not with the Upbeat band. They are all heart.

3) Price. Upbeat was ~1/3 the price of some of the more well known bands in the city. Add the fact that they performed longer, and better than these other bands and you can understand why we were so thrilled with them.

You have to check out this band. We had a packed dance floor even after the lights were turned on and the bar shut down. It was an amazing night and wouldn't have been the same without this band. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars we would.

Michael Cascio and the Upbeat Band were the highlight of our wedding day! The learned songs especially for our wedding which we thought was perfect for us because we have a large variety of songs/music that we wanted to hear. They played for hours and no one left the dance floor the entire night. The only problem we had was the people wanted to dance on the furniture (that is obviously against what we signed in our venue contract ;) Looking back at picture, everyone is so happy and laughing and jumping all over. It really shows us how great the upbeat band was! People were chanting - ONE MORE TIME, ONE MORE TIME! after songs that they would play! I can't thank them enough. My husband and I can't wait to go see them at festivals or other venues they play at.

After meeting with a few different bands in Chicago we decided to hire Michael Cascio and the Upbeat band. Michael took the time to listen to our needs and was always 100% reliable in answering phone calls or emails. The amount of time which he put into planning the perfect wedding was more then we could have asked for. He even took the time to learn songs specifically for our wedding. His talent and knowledge helped create a magical evening with amazing music starting with the ceremony and up until the last song of the night. The dance floor was full all night long!!! We definitely recommend Michael Cascio and his band for your upcoming event...He will not disappoint.
