Please, please, please stop looking for other bands. This is the one.

The first question to ask yourself when looking for music for your wedding is do you want band or a DJ. In my mind, I've never been to a wedding that had a memorable DJ. It's always the energy and personality of the band that made the party for me. Feeling the live drums up close, guitar solos, vocal riffs, improvisation designed for the couple.

I looked for a band for at least a month and got really discouraged by it due to the price tag. I was about to give up when I came across IV Collective.

Professionalism: They immediately responded to my inquiry and invited me to one of their live shows that evening. This continued throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding

Talent: My God, the first performance I saw of there's was so awesome. My now wife and I stayed for the entire time. The most impressive part was their versatility. They could do everything, every genre at a high level.

Personalization: Gabe reached out to us a few weeks before the wedding with a COMPREHENSIVE list of songs that they could play. The most impressive part of the list was how current some of the song choices were. This wasn't a wedding band that was limited to old timey wedding songs. Their selection spanned the Jackson 5 and Bill Withers to Justin Timberlake and Daniel Caesar. Amazing.

The Wedding: the comment of the night was "Where did you find this band?". They killed every song, they dressed to match our black tie event, they even let my uncle spontaneously sing a reggae song for me. My wife was dancing so hard she missed the dessert table! The event was high energy the entire time because of their music and MC work.

Price: this is where the biggest difference was made. IV collective was the best band I found, but they were also the most affordable. How is that possible? My only explanation is that they are relatively new to the wedding circuit and they don't have as many performances out there on YouTube. I hope to change that in whatever little way I can with this review.

Again, just stop looking for other bands. They won't do a better job because better isn't achievable. They made such an impact on our day and we can't thank them enough. I'll be posting this review anywhere I can.

During a once in a lifetime storm on August 9th, 2025 in Milwaukee, The I.V. Collective made our backyard wedding into an absolute party! Through rain and lightning the tunes kept us going and put a smile on everybody's face. Singer JasNoelle is absolutely amazing and made sure to keep everybody dancing! We feel incredibly lucky to have had to honor of having the I.V. Collective performance on our wedding. They definitely delivered on our biggest wish: not to have a wedding band but a GREAT band play at our wedding. We didn't want a setlist, we just wanted the band to have fun and perform as they like. They did an outstanding job!! They were professional, kind and easily adapted to the constantly changing environmental demands (due to the weather).

I would book them again for any party!! Moreover, I would pay money to go see them at a show! Thank you JasNoelle and I.V. Collective!!!

This band made our wedding! Gabriel was super easy to work with, played our requested songs, and kept the vibe going the whole night. It was more like a concert than a band playing at a wedding. We have received so many compliments from our guests and have already referred them to so many friends. This band is also very affordable compared to the big swing bands (which tend to be a bit old fashioned and play less relevant music).

When we hired I.V. Collective, I couldn’t begin to imagine how impactful their band would be on our wedding. From the outset of us reaching out on the Knot, Gabe was very communicative. We knew we wanted a full sounding band with a horn section, and their talented musicians blew  our expectations out of the water. Gabe was so flexible with what we envisioned for our wedding day and reception. They were so flexible and accommodating of our wishes, and my husband was even allowed to play a surprise song with the band for me at the reception.

The ceremony music and cocktail hour music with the cellist, violinist, pianist, and guitar was absolutely beautiful, and the band at the reception was an absolute highlight of the entire weekend. We received so many compliments from our guests about how the band was the best part of the night! The dance floor was completely full the entire time they were playing. There is not a band in Chicago that can compare to the talent that we had, and the price of hiring I.V. Collective as your band is so unbelievably worth it. They were hands down the best band we could have hired to make our wedding perfect! We highly recommend hiring them!

Working with IV collective was such an incredible decision for our wedding. They did our ceremony (piano), cocktail hour (jazz trio) and reception music. They were so much fun - and they were even able to incorporate music in Spanish, which was really important to us. Such a fun addition to the day and we are so happy we went with them.

Flowers
We really wanted to keep our wedding simple in terms of flowers and decor for cost and waste purposes. Flowers for Dreams, while keeping within our budget and vision, made the space look beyond any expectations we could have had. Our table had greenery and candles and made the space feel so warm and vibrant. Our flowers for the ceremony was just as we asked for them to look. The team was so helpful during the process and it was overall an incredible experience.

WOW! I.V. Collective was the perfect band for our wedding! They were so so fun, had a great sound/overall vibe, and were a key element to the party! The amount of compliments I have gotten since our wedding a couple of weeks ago has been so fun!!! This group is made up of impressive musicians and true performers. We loved working with Gabriel and the whole band - couldn't recommend them enough!

I.V. Collective were absolutely fabulous. Gabe was great, helping us during the planning phases and was super responsive to my questions/concerns. We could not have been happier with their performance and presence at our wedding. All of the guests had nothing but compliments for the group. 10/10

We had the most fun at our wedding and the band was the biggest reason! It has been a month now and we keep getting compliments! The band is VERY fun and VERY cool. Their set was so well organized! They started off right away with songs that got people out on the dance floor immediately, and people just never sat down! During their short breaks their was DJed music to keep people dancing and everyone was so amped up every time they came back on stage! it felt like our own private concert. (Which it was. These guys are a band with their own music. They play live shows throughout the city and their cohesiveness really shows.) Gabriel (the bandleader) was so easy to work with and he was patient with us as we got our ducks in a row during the scheduling. Book this band! It was the best decision we made for our wedding.

As a wedding planner, I'm always looking for outstanding talent and reliable vendors to make my clients' weddings unforgettable and special. I had the pleasure of working with Illville Vanguard, led by Gabriel Alston, at a recent Chicago wedding impacted by COVID that required flexibility and lots of communication. Not only was Gabriel communicative and organized during the planning stages, but also a standout vendor day of. The band delivered a lively, musical experience that felt jazzy, energized and perfect for this rooftop wedding overlooking the city. They also provided animated accompaniment with our DJ; either adding on to his songs or partaking in a call and response. They were so fun and will be a great addition to any wedding day seeking a really unique sound and exciting atmosphere. I can't recommend them enough!

Recently booked this band for my wedding and they crushed it. They are professional, talented, and have tremendous range. We told them the vibes we were going for and they got it right away. I will find an excuse to work with them again in the future. Do not hesitate to book this group.
