Pastry Girls, Inc was one of the 1st vendors i found and were one of my favorite to work with. I'm out of state bride and Kathy was Always emailing me and keeping in good contact! She understood very quickly with what we wanted and i loved meeting in her home. She was so sweet and personal! Our cake turned out exactly what we talked about. EVERYONE at the wedding said how much the cake looked like us and how good it was, they loved all the different flavors. I also got more then my moneys worth! I talk with other bakers about the cake i wanted and they were going to charge me almost double what kathy charged me! Thank you Kathy it was An AMAZING Cake and my Grandmother's and Mother's wedding cake topper looked awesome on the cake!

WOW. . .what a treasure! I found Kate pretty late in the game and she is wonderful. We did a cake tasting right in her home, which is where she bakes her cakes from. It was very personal and she just sat and talked with us as we tasted her different cakes. She is certainly a sweet thing and was willing to work with whatever we wanted.

When I had first contacted Kate through e-mail, we discussed budget and at first, her minimum exceeded what I had to spend on a cake. When I told her that, she was willing to work with me. ( I did want a simple cake though, so that probably had something to do with it).

Overall, the cake was great and I can't wait to eat our anniversary cake. The decoration of the cake was very well done and just what we had imagined. She is willing to be creative and try new things when it comes to her cakes. The most important part is that the cake was delicious! She offers quite a few flavors and combination of flavors. One that I recommend is the pumpkin chocolate.

Pastry Girls made the most beautiful wedding cake for my October 2009 wedding! I had three flavors: English Harvest, dark chocolate, and a simple yellow. They were all delicious, and we received great compliments on the wedding cake and the groom's cake. The wedding cake design I requested was (I thought) pretty complicated, and came from a thumbnail photo of one of Martha Stewart's Top 50 wedding cakes. Katie did a gorgeous job with it, and I am so pleased and grateful.

I searched the entire Chicago land area for a bakery that would give me the creative design I desired (225 individual cakes in clear boxes with a traditional tiered top cake for 40 people) coupled with affordability and a really great taste. I knew from the moment I met Kate that she was the best person for the job. She is extremely prompt, flexible, professional, courteous, reliable and undeniably creative. Did I mention how great her cakes taste???? If you desire a truly favorable and moist cake in lieu of the typical pasty and sugary ones, your search is over. Finding Kate was an absolute blessing! Our families, guests and bridal party are still talking about her delicious and artistic cakes! Our cake was so beautiful and unique that we decided to submit a picture of Kate's masterpiece to the Wedding Channel to be viewed by the world.

Pastry Girls was WONDERFUL!! I brought in a design and Sonia worked with it, and it turned out exactly how I envisioned! Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted amazing! She was so kind and one of those people who was a joy to get to know. I would recommend the Pastry Girls to anyone!!

Kate was wonderful to work with. She listened to what we wanted, and gave her own input from what she has seen as a professional. However, the most important people were us, so what we wanted was what we got. The value was excellent, and the cake was delicious! She responded very quickly to inquiries, and even made changes without a problem. Excellent!

This was by far the BEST wedding cake my husband and I had ever seen and tasted. It was extremely unique- and after being turned down by another bakery for my topsy turvy design, I was worried. KAte handled everything like a pro- and it was affordable! I would recommend this company to anyone for ANY event you need a cake for!!
