We looked at various locations (online and in person) but after visiting Malibou Lake Mountain Club, we immediately chose this place for our wedding on March 10 because it’s such a beautiful location and because it had the most reasonable pricing compared to other locations. Laura was great to work with. She is very friendly and provided us with great customer service. Booking process was easy and throughout the wedding planning, any questions that I had, she would always answer. The day of the wedding, everything was so beautiful – location and all the setup (ceremony, reception, cocktail area). The food was super delicious – provided by Truly Yours Catering! Bartender did a great job. Day of manager was great to work with also. Our wedding turned out so beautiful!!! Everyone did a great job. All guests loved the location and kept asking how we found them. It truly is a hidden gem. I hope they get even more weddings. Choosing Malibou Lake Mountain Club as my wedding venue is one of the best decisions I have ever made. We were looking for something outdoorsy and magical while still being comfortable and practical for our woodsy, enchanted forest wedding. Nothing felt quite right - until we found Malibou Lake. This place is truly the best of the best. Laura, the venue coordinator, was such a wonderful and helpful person to work with. She was always so kind and very quick to respond to any question I had over the course of the months leading up to my wedding (and I had a TON of questions). No detail was overlooked. I felt so well taken care of through the whole process. Truly Yours, Malibou Lake's exclusive caterer, was excellent. My husband and I are vegan/vegetarian, and we have a lot of family and friends who also eat this way, and so our menu was mostly vegan and gluten-free. Truly Yours really stepped up to the challenge! Our guests were so happy with the food and so were we. Laura and Malibou Lake made everything so easy. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. For the ceremony, the guests were seated outside, perfectly situated under the shade of a nearby tree, with a view of the beautiful lake. It is so quiet and peaceful out there. The reception room is GORGEOUS, with beautiful light fixtures, big open windows, fireplace, and brand new hardwood floors. The catering staff was on point. I had mentioned that my husband and I wanted to be served appetizers right after the ceremony, and everyone made that happen. The appetizers were so delicious, especially the stuffed mushrooms. During our bridal party and family pictures post ceremony, the caterers made sure to bring appetizers around for everyone that had to be in pictures and wasn't able to go to the cocktail hour. The head server took really good care of my husband and I, and made sure that we knew he was there for us for anything we needed. He was so great! Malibou Lake was an amazing venue! Our wedding was in March, and the area was beyond stunning. Many of our guests were in awe of how beautiful and quiet the venue was. MLMC deserves every star that they can possibly get. The venue was absolutely beautiful and being able to have an outdoor and indoor option is such a great perk - especially for a couple like us that wanted both. We have not stopped getting compliments on the wedding. We held the ceremony outside right by the lake and we enjoyed the reception inside. We have the most beautiful pictures of our wedding day in the gorgeous private lawn area. We could not have been happier.

Everything was perfect since the start. Laura was our coordinator who was very responsive to our needs and any questions we may have had. A big one for us was that for the cost, it was highly reasonable and perfect for the place we wanted to get married and resembled us. She responded back immediately via email and phone, and always kept us in the loop regarding timelines, accommodations, etc. We loved her input and honest opinion regarding the set-up and reception. It was truly a dream come true once our wedding day came. Everything was perfect! The ceremony was set-up to our liking, the cocktail hour was superb (I noticed the server's were on it), and the reception was great (the meals were perfect!). I loved that Laura recommended for my husband and I to take at least 30 minutes of alone time after the ceremony to decompress, breathe in the excitement of the day, and of course (because we learned throughout the night that this was difficult to do) enjoy a nice bite just the two of us. I loved everything about Malibou Lake and Truly Yours; from the simple touches such as the dressing room, to the entire venue and experience. Hands down, one of the best wedding venues AND caterers in the business. Laura kept us in the loop for scheduling, decisions, and making sure there was as little stress the day of as possible. We lucked out on the day of the wedding that it wasn't raining, so the scenery for the outdoor and indoor photo shots were perfect.
Another great surprise, the food! We received so many compliments on the food. The #1 picks - vegetarian lasagna, coconut shrimp for the appetizers, and the bacon-wrapped steak (well you really can't go wrong with bacon-wrapped anything). I could not rate Malibou Lake Mountain Club anything less than 5 stars! Everything about this location is amazing! We first saw the venue in January when it was colder and a bit bare, but come March everything starts to bloom and in August everything was perfect! Roses, full trees, shade. Its the most beautiful location for a smaller wedding. Laura is just the best. She quickly responded to all of my emails and was very helpful with everything. The best part was when she sat us down for our final meeting and discussed every detail for the day of timeline and the schematics. This was very helpful and relieved so much stress!! She was there the day of the wedding to help the bridal party walk out for the ceremony and was always very organized. Truly yours catering has amazing food! Danny, who was in charge for Truly Yours that day, was very helpful and made sure my husband and I always had a plate of warm food. He did a great job to make sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I got married at Malibou Lake Mountain Club on Sunday in June of this year. It is hands down one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Southern California. On top of being beautiful it is also way more reasonably priced compared to the larger venues like Calamigos Ranch. It really is a hidden gem tucked away in the hills of Agoura. It's quiet and peaceful and they keep the gardens so lush that your photos will just come out stunning. If you want to have a fairy tale garden wedding, get married at Malibou Lake! Don't get put off by the fact that they make you use their caterer, Truly Yours Catering, you won't regret it. Our guests had nothing but compliments on the dinner served. My husband and I got married at Malibou Lake Mountain Club on August 2, 2014. We had booked the venue over a year in advance of the wedding because we fell in love with its natural surroundings and quaint charm when we came to visit it right after getting engaged. Laura and team team did a fantastic job helping us prepare for the wedding and blew us away with amazing service the night of the wedding. We had guests coming up to us during and after the wedding, asking us how we had found such a perfect location and how amazing the food and service were. MLMC is tucked away in the mountains and it creates a very intimate atmosphere, which is what we wanted on our special day. We had looked at a few other venues in the area with the same kind of feel, but they did not compare to MLMC in terms of location and value.
Another big plus is that Laura is very responsive by email and phone, which is great when you are in the planning phase. She is very helpful in answering questions and helping you plot out logistics.

When we first visited MLMC, we fell in love with the place and knew we had to get married there. Our wedding was exactly a month ago and I have to say that every step of that day went smoothly and without any interruptions...from Laura making sure that our processional was orderly to Dan making sure that my husband and I finished our dinner during the reception, we couldn't have asked for better service!! My husband and I and our guests all had an AMAZING time, I wish we could do it all over again!! The minute we saw Malibou Lake we knew it was exactly where we wanted to get married. Beautiful location, far enough from the city, and not to mention the food was amazing....And the SERVICE!!!! Loved this place. My parents were married here and so were we 30 years later. This location is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is gorgeous. We were so excited when we found this venue for our wedding. It was just perfect, it has the most beautiful backgrounds for pictures and has a comfy and cozy feel in the room, The fireplace just adds to warmth of the place. We worked with Laura for all of the coordination and planning of the wedding at the venue. She was incredibly helpful and never made me feel stupid when I emailed and asked her 100 questions a day. She stayed patient and gave me the honest answers that I needed. Planning a wedding can be very confusing and difficult, especially if you have never done it before and only plan on doing it once, she helped ease all of my worries and concerns and on the day of the wedding she was just great! She helped wherever she could, when we needed bubbles placed on the chairs instead of me asking one of the groomsmen to place them she jumped on it and helped do it before I could even ask someone else. It was a wonderful day and everything went perfectly! we couldnt be happier with our wedding day!

We worked with Laura for all of the coordination and planning of the wedding at the venue. She was incredibly helpful and never made me feel stupid when I emailed and asked her 100 questions a day. She stayed patient and gave me the honest answers that I needed. Planning a wedding can be very confusing and difficult, especially if you have never done it before and only plan on doing it once, she helped ease all of my worries and concerns and on the day of the wedding she was just great! She helped wherever she could, when we needed bubbles placed on the chairs instead of me asking one of the groomsmen to place them she jumped on it and helped do it before I could even ask someone else. It was a wonderful day and everything went perfectly! we couldnt be happier with our wedding day!

I got a huge discount on it since my parents are part of the club and live there. Normally it's like 4k for a Saturday wedding in the summer. But it's gorgeous and so easy. Get married on the lawn by the lake, and then go in the reception hall right next to it for dinner and dancing. The inside is all white and gray and a great neutral color to put next to your wedding colors. It only fits like 150 max comfortably though. So now giant weddings unless you want to get married on the lawn. I am so happy we decided to go with MLMC for our wedding. It is this hidden gem that few people in LA have discovered. The surrounding area is beautiful, the reception room is elegant, without feeling like a big ballroom. Laura and Dan were great to work with throughout the process. Our guests LOVED the family style dinner. Unfortunately, our wedding was on a rare LA rainy day, so we had to move it indoors. However, Laura and her team set it up beautifully, and the bay windows served as a great background. We highly recommend MLMC!I am so happy we decided to go with MLMC for our wedding. My wife and I fell in love with the venue when we arrived. It has a beautiful backdrop in a gorgeous lake matched with a beautiful, well kept open lawn that's just simply marvelous. Laura & Roxanne were both great in terms of working with us and our vendors. They were very flexible and tried to accomodate us to the best of their abilities. The price for the venue was a steal also. We checked around many other venues before finding and deciding on this place. It looks so nice on it's own that you don't really need too many decorations. It is such a unique location that I don't think we could have found in LA. The price is pretty reasonable too. Laura is wonderful to work with. She responds quickly and is easy to talk to. And of course, Truly Yours Catering is delicious! Several guests commented on how good the food was.
My only complaint is the air conditioner. It was a hot day and with ~165 guests, it just could not keep up. Most guests who would have loved to dance more, spent the evening out on the patio because it was just too hot. Either have a small wedding or wait for cooler weather.This place is beautiful.
