I was so sad to hear about the comment before mine. My husband and I were married there earlier this month (08/11) and it was absolutely wonderful. I called the Jardin Del Sol in March and spoke with Melanie (the owner) and she was wonderful. We live in Oregon so I had my parents (who live in Washington) go to look at the venue and even in March they could tell it would be beautiful. From March on the venue becomes more and more gorgeous. We sent in our deposit and continued from there. Melanie was very helpful with any questions I had (and I had ALOT of questions) and was always great about getting back to me. Day of the wedding the place was breath taking. The best part about the Jardin Del Sol is that it's already so pretty naturally that you really don't need to decorate at all. We had a wonderful experience and it was well worth the money spent. I really don't think our wedding would have been as wonderful if we'd been somewhere else.

I will tell you what happened when we were planning our wedding with this company. My wife emailed the hostess with what day we were hoping to wed. We went to the place to see how it looked and it seemed pretty nice. We talked to the hostess about our specific day and looked over pictures of previous weddings and their policies and the reservation payment for our specific day. According to the policy, the payment is to reserve the day that on which you want to be wed. We told her the specific day and she said “Yeah, that day is when our rentals start.” We said Cool! We took that as an ok, good on that day. We got home and the next day we made our final decision and sent a check for $500 non-refundable to reserve a specific date. My wife was smart enough to put the date of the wedding on the check. Later, we got an email from the Jardin del Sol representative stating that she didn’t know that we wanted to have it on that specific date because that day had already been booked. The problem was my wife had already created and printed out the wedding invites -- and you know how much wedding invites can be. We told Jardin del Sol that if we were going to have to change the day, she would have to reimburse us for the invites. She gave a whole bunch of excuses and we finally came up with a deal. She said she was going to give us $100 dollars off and the same rate of the day of our original choice. She emailed us with the different rate not agreed upon and the $100 off. We ended up canceling the check and a better and cheaper venue. :) If you want this Jardin del Sol, I’d advise confirming 3-4 times on your day and have confirmations signed on what day and what price of the package you get.
