While it wasn't enough to ruin the day, and no one but myself seemed to notice the shortcomings, I was still a bit disappointed with the end result of our flowers. It was a pleasure working with Jackson Florist during the planning process, however the flowers did not turn out to be what I expected. When I went to the reception hall to check things out (over 3 hours after I was told the flowers would be there), not a singe table was bearing flowers. While I had specifications on what vases went on which tables, there must have been some miscommunication in the process as some of my guest tables ended up with the empty vases that were supposed to be on my bridesmaids' tables for their bouquets. So when planning with your florist, please make sure that you are very very specific on what goes where (maybe even a floor diagram laying out what goes on each table) - hopefully it will be possible for you to have someone there when the flowers are being placed to supervise and make sure things go where they should. My photographer was unable to get a good picture of the flowers as they were not set up on time. However, the flowers themselves were very beautiful of course. I may use Jackson again, however I will make sure to be extremely detailed and specific on my requests.

My mother and I worked with Irene Hyatt at Jackson Florist - she was amazing. In our first meeting, Irene listened to all of our ideas and then was very honest with us on whether or not certain floral arrangements would look good or how we could use our ideas but find an alternative solution to make them even better! She is incredibly knowledgeable about every flower, and provided us with so many options. My mother and I were so confident in her abilities after our first meeting, that we couldn't imagine the wedding day without her services! My favorite part about working with Irene was the fact that she was able to incorporate some of my late grandmother's jewelry into my bouquet, which made my wedding bouquet even more special. She has such a kind, genuine nature, and I LOVED working with her. More than anything, her promise to deliver no less than gorgeous arrangements was proven when the flowers were delivered on our wedding day... I will never forget how beautiful they were, how long they lasted, or how wonderfully fresh they smelled. I will use no other florist for future events... Jackson Florist is the best!
