HORRIBLE! They have been rude the entire process of my wedding. I won't even go into details, they are always rude when we go there, and now they have crossed the line and we are getting a lawyer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Many of my girlfriends have told me the same thing, they had a major problem with them and their rudeness. They are not professional at all! If you do have a problem and try to talk to Yvonne about it, she hides and says she is unavailable!
So many woman I know have a problem with them, I am surprised more ladies don't write these complaints!

Loved the selection of gallipos, way better then the "cookie cutter" dresses you would get from a place like davids bridal. Wasn't super happy with alterations. They weren't awful, but if your a perfectionist, you might want to take it somewhere else for the alterations. My straps were two different widths, not that anyone else noticed but i did;-) and for what i paid i expected the best alterations. But other than that they were great to work with and treated me well.

I recently ordered a bridesmaid dress from Gallipo's, specifically from Yvonne. Although Yvonne initially seemed nice on the phone, she quickly turned sour after having to admit to several mistakes that her and her staff had made. Yvonne had no problem cashing my check IMMEDIATELY before my measurements had even been called in but then refused to acknowledge that I had sent in my measurements via email once and via phone twice. It was chaotic calling in my measurements several times before the staff finally wrote them down and saved them (a professional would write them down and file them accordingly right when the client called them in). The only good thing Yvonne did was she gave us a good deal on the dresses. HOWEVER, we quickly paid the price for her generosity by being told (by Yvonne) that she "wasn't making any money off of our orders and to never come back to the store after our dresses came in because it wasn't worth her business." Clearly, the economy has affected this business (as it has many other businesses) but to scold the client for a deal that was agreed upon is completely unprofessional and tacky. I do believe that Gallipo's was once a great, locally owned business but I have no doubt that it is not what is used to be. I think it is time for the store owner to step back and remember that the customer is the most important aspect of a business and without clients, she wouldn't have a business.

DO NOT ENTER! The most unprofessional, unorganized store I've ever walked into. I had eight bridesmaid dresses ordered. For over a month, there have been multiple problems. They've lost checks. They've lost measurements. They've cashed checks and charged cards without having ordered any dresses. A month later, my dresses have all been paid for and nothing has been ordered. I've called the owner multiple times and she has yet to call me back. Do NOT do business with them as you can't trust when/if your dress(es) would be ordered. The lack of customer service is appalling. The staff is even less professional than the owner.

Gallippos is the most amazing store a bride could ask for any anyone who would disagree is just looking for reasons to complain. From the moment I walked in to Gallippos I was treated like family. The entire staff is wonderful. We purchased everything you can think of for our wedding there (dress, shoes, veil, jewelry, mothers gown, bridesmaid dresses and even tux shirts!) Its a one stop shop and not like any other. A bride never has to worry about ever seeing another bride in her same gown. Yvonne treats each bride as an individual and would never duplicate a gown! I found the gown of my dreams there as well as our bridesmaid dresses. I had so many compliments during our wedding on my dress and my girls dresses. I cant even put into words how much above and beyond Yvonne went to make everything PERFECT for us! She hand sewed beads onto my veil to compliment my dress and made sure everything was impecable!!! If I ever was not 100% happy with the way something looked or anything at all, she changed it right away to not just meet but EXCEED my expectations! Dont get your gown from a chain store--and even if you are thinking that Gallippos may be on the pricy side??? Go look for yourself! They have a wide variety of prices and designs and its worth every cent!! Thanks Yvonne for making my wedding a fairytale!

I had a wonderful experience with Gallipos. The staff we're nice to my mother and I, we had a great time searching for my dress. I bought the most gorgeous PCMary's dress. It made me feel like a princess. There was a lot for me to choose from as well with a wide price range. I do not have any complaints as far as this store goes. I would recomend anyone that can to go to their shop.

I know there are a lot of mixed reviews about Gallipo's but I had a good experience. Yvonne was wonderful to me! The selection was amazing, there were so many beautiful dresses and I absolutely loved the one I chose. I do have to say that there are a few girls that work there that could use some customer service training but the majority of them were very sweet and they made me feel like I had chosen the most beautiful dress in the shop :)

I had my local girls go here to order their bridesmaid dresses. As far as I know, everyone was helped and the staff was friendly and polite. They called me as soon as the dresses were in so that I could call my bms. The dresses were very pretty.

Gallippos has the best dress selection in Toledo and they are very reasonably priced. Yvonne was very professional and she worked extremely hard to make me happy. I needed alot of alterations done to my dress and she did them all very well. The only problem that I had was that she changed my neckline to a sweetheart and the line was just a little off...but i was the only person that noticed. Ohter thank that, everything was perfect. Her staff was really helpful and they even pressed my bridesmaids dresses for free the night before the wedding.

I cannot say enough about Yvonne and Gallipos. I have been a client for at least 7 yrs and never have I had a bad experience. Her selection is beyond amazing, Yvonne has an eye for beautiful dresses. She was always honest and only sold me dresses that flattered me. Her jewelry selection is also beautiful, I've bought a couple of pieces. My sister purchased her wedding dress from Gallipos and to this day people comment on its beauty. Recently, I had alterations and sleeves added to a dress. I didn't give her an instructions, I trusted her without any hesitation. I had my final fitting today and I am in complete awe, Yvonne is an artist. She does amazing work, and I truly cannot give her enough compliments. I used to work in retail and would always send customers to Yvonne, because I knew how well they would be treated. You become family to the girls at Gallipos. To any bride to be or anyone looking for an evening gown, Gallipos' selection is a must see.

Yvonne is HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT GO TO Gallipo's. She does have a great selection, but the service is horrible. Yvonne trashes people behind their backs. She doesn't order your dress right away. Alterations fall apart. She is just awful to deal with. We spent well over $4,000 there and got treated like crap. I would NEVER recommend going here. The first time we tried on dresses they wouldn't even let us have water! The lights are really dim you can't even see yourself very well. Also, tell Yvonne that your wedding it 2-3 weeks before it actually is...or your dress won't come in time. She didn't die my veil to match my dress (the day before my wedding I had to get that done). She takes out the sizes of the dresses so think you are skinnier than what you are, but then when your dress comes in and you see that is actually 2 sizes too big you think she ordered you the wrong dress. This lady just does NOT know how to run a buisness. We are reporting her to the better business burrow.

The owner was very professional and the alterations girl as well. However, the other staff could get rude sometimes, but my dress was beautiful.

I walked into Gallippo's after having no luck at David's Bridal (CRINGE! YUCK!) and Atlas. I was looking for a classic gown--no beads, lace, sparklies, or bling. I wanted a flattering neckline and pick-ups. Gallippo's greeted me immediately and after I told them what I wanted, they whisked in my dream dress. It fit awesomely and even though I didn't have an appointment, they paid complete attention to me and helped me try everything on. I got a great discount for buying the dress the day I tried it on as well--like I said this was my dream dress.

Their seamstress who does their alterations is amazing. She's young, efficient, skilled, and helpful. I was extremely impressed with her quick work. I did my fittings later than usual and it was no problem for her. There also was makeup on my dress somehow and they got it out no problem and steamed the dress perfectly.

The only thing that was a little weird was that bridesmaids had to pay to try on dresses (and then everything they pad went towards the dresses we decided on), so we didn't get the bridesmaid dresses from there. And they cut out all the designer tags of their sample dresses. I know Gallippo's did both of these things to keep customers from simply buying things they found in store online, but it would've been nice to see the designer labels and bring my bridesmaids in to try on without the worry of having to decide on something there. And I'm sure I could've found my dress cheaper elsewhere had I known the designer. Oh well, though. The dress was gorgeous, fit like a glove, and was quite an easy purchase to make.

Bought my wedding dress here and they were great to work with for that, but we went somewhere else for bridesmaid dresses because Gallipo's is on the more expensive side.

UTbride, You might want to think it over before you make false accusations. The designer you purchased, Lazaro does not even offer a bag with their name on it or a "certificate of authenticity". The certificate you are concerned with is a gimmick used by Maggie Sottero to give a greater perceived value to their gowns. You should mention that you called Lazaro and they told you the same thing, that you also called the TV station for assistance and they called Gallippo's who gave the phone number to them for Lazaro in New York so they could verify this information. Lazaro told them that Gallippo's did order the dress from them and they could verify it. The photo online did not show buttons on the back of the dress. However, if you had asked for buttons why did you not notice they were not on the dress for a year after the wedding was canceled? Are you possibly trying everything you can to try to harrass the store into giving you a refund after your 2006 purchase. This is called defamation of character and I am sure that I know now why your wedding canceled. No bridal shop will give a refund for a special order, you are a size 0 and I understand if you tried to sell the dress and can't. Who could fit into that tiny size? Please try to understand that nothing you say or do to the store will change your situation. The dress was perfect or you would have complained sooner. Thank you for recanting. By the way you were not a family friend, you had made purchases in the past and had always been happy with the gowns for your other events that did not cancel.The reason you consider yourself a friend is that we at Gallippo's treat our brides like a family friend. We love our brides but will not give into harassment. Please find another store to work with if you ever find another fiance'.

Wow - there is no other place like it. Gallipo's makes you feel like a princess from the moment you walk in the shop. They are all about customer service and can really help to identify the perfect gown for your style, physique, and budget. They certainly carry designer gowns, but also carry a surprising number of moderately-priced gowns as well. What I appreciated most about Gallipo's what that I could browse the 10+ circular racks of gowns myself, without having to rely on an attendant to read my mind, disappear behind a curtain, and bring back whatever she thought I was trying to describe. Also purchased many accessories here - like slip, veil, and headpiece - and also had my alterations completed here. I am so glad I went to Gallipo's!
