The owner of the company was supposed to be our DJ. The month before the wedding he needed to assign us to another DJ. We would be able to meet with the new DJ and let him know what we wanted, so we moved forward with First Call. Our meeting went well and I walked away feeling like DJ Jasonic would provide a great DJ service for us. We were wrong. Several of the songs on our do not play list were played. Several of the songs on our must play list weren't played. Jasonic failed to turn down the music even when asked several times. He left the party for numerous cigarette breaks. The music he played from his computer skipped almost every other song. No one could understand any of the announcements he made.

The owner, Joel (DJ Jay) was very responsive to my feedback and asked if there was anything that could be done to make it up to me. Unfortunately, our wedding was a once in a lifetime event and nothing could be done.

I can't speak for DJ Jay but I wouldn't book DJ Jasonic nor recommend him to a friend.

First Call DJ responded with the following comments:

As I stated by phone. We are sorry a few songs you did not want played were played. Jasonic was overwhelmed by the guests requesting line dances like the Electric Slide? When guests ask for a do not play song, we tell them that were not allowed to play song without clients permission. Sometimes, guests will state that the bride and groom gave the OK. Since the incident, I have made it a policy that we will not play do not plays under any circumstance.
The only problem brought to my attention, by the client, was that Jasonic played the 2 line dance songs that were on the do not playlist(electric slide and Cha Cha Slide)
As far as the music skipping?? The computers don't skip? They either play music or they don't play music and we have back up systems at every event?

It was nice to have a DJ that likes to have fun. Our guest stayed o the floor the whole time. The music selection was awesome! Thanks for the best wedding reception ever....Calvin
