Working with Eye Design could have been smoother. i got the feeling many times that he just didn't get what we wanted. We explained several times how we were interested in asymmetrical designs and how I really wanted to have some orchids in my bouquet and my husband wanted anemones. He said he'd do it, but when the invoice came, the flowers listed weren't correct- no big deal, but when the day came- my bouquet had no orchids and was a symmetrical ball of roses, lillies and feathers (don't get me wrong, it was pretty and I did want all those flowers too, but it wasn't what we discussed or what he said he would do), my husband had a calla lily with some anemone buds (I wish that if the anemones weren't going to be in bloom he would have told us so we could have worked something else out since my husband doesn't really care for calla lillies at all). The flowers did arrive on time and the boutineers for the groomsmen and the bouquets for the bridesmaids were lovely and more or less what we'd talked about. They provided vases of water to keep the bouquets fresh which was very nice. The flowers of the candelabras were lovely, but again not asymmetrical as we had asked. It may be that he was just thinking in more subtle terms than we were, but since we emphasized it so many times, you'd think he'd have checked- we certainly did what we could to make sure he understood. We even asked for sketches to get an idea about what he was going to do- nothing too detailed, just outlines, but we never got any. They were very flexible in reworking flower combinations to get everything within our budget, which was very nice.
Eye Design was very nice and the flowers were beautiful, but they were not what we discussed or what we wanted which was somewhat disappointing.

Chase did a wonderful job listening to what WE wanted and accommodating us. He was a pleasure to work with and the flowers looked absolutely beautiful on our wedding day (although the sample bouquets were even more beautiful... understandable since there was one instead of 40).

We really wanted to portray a seasonal element in our fall wedding, and Chase's arrangements were absolutely perfect! He captured the colors of fall in beautiful, chic and soft, natural designs. On top of that, Chase is a dream to work with. He listens, yet he's very creative and a lot of fun - he actually whipped up another boutonniere at the reception for my groom when the first one had an accident! I would highly recommend him to any bride, especially those looking for the sophisticated and unique. He is a true floral designer and we're lucky to have such talent here in Nashville!

Chase Rivers is a patient, creative, and pleasant man. And when you are planning a wedding, this is what your want in a florist.
Think about it. You've got a budget and a vision. The florist understands your budget and is trying to understand your vision. And in order for him to meet your budget, he might take a few stems out of one arrangement, make one a bit smaller than you had envisioned, or use a slightly different and less expensive flower. At the end of all of this budget wrangling and discussion of vision what you don't want to have happen is that each table has an itty bitty thumbnail of some rare japanese orchid or that your bouquets are filled with carnations or the roses that you demanded show up no where in your wedding, just to save costs.
Chase Rivers has the patience to walk through this scenario, patiently describing alternatives and revising his quote until everyone is happy with the outcome. His creativity is clear just from looking at his website, the unexpected combinations of flowers give lots of texture and interest to his arrangements. I wouldn't describe them as contemporary as much as I would "fresh". I think everyone, from the most traditional to the most modern tastes, will find an aesthetic that they like in Chase's designs. And, his prices are competitive.
We are big fans of Eye Design Floral!

Eye Design Floral was perfect. The owner, Chase, nailed everything I asked for, down to the last detail. The table arrangements were stunning, everyone was so impressed!! My boquet was perfect. It was exactly what I had imagined. He personally set up for my ceremony/reception to see that it was exactly right. It took my breath away when I saw the finished product!!! He was very flexible to work with, very calm (which helps an overwhelmed bride!), and really listened to what I wanted. It was very clear this is his passion, and he wanted it to be perfect for me on my big day, and it was!!! I would use them again 100%, and recommend Eye Design Floral to everyone who wants it done right! Thank You!!!
