They told me my bridesmaid dress would take 3-4 weeks, when that time was up I did not have my dress. When I called to locate the dress they said it would take 10 weeks and the estimated date was 1 week before my wedding. The dresses were nice but I would not do business with them again.

They had a great selection of dresses in the style and size I wanted. The selection was good and my saleswoman was very attentive and patient with my family.

The alterations department was prompt and satisfactory. I never did get the bussle exactly as I wanted it. It didn't really matter though since we didn't have a reception and there was no need to bussle the dress. I did feel that I paid for something I didn't really like though. Make sure it is exactly like you want it before you leave.

I went there a few times...and ended up purchasing ONLY SHOES (on sale).
I had an AMAZING, responsive, helpful attendant the first time.

The last 2 times they were HORRIBLE, unresponsive, UNPROFESSIONAL, pushy attendants that would not listen...
very dissapointed, decided to purchase elsewhere

Davids Bridal what can I say?

My dress, we bought it at one out of state (in April). They told us that they would hold it until I could get back there at Christmas. They called in June (last year) said that the dress was in and that we had a week to go pick it up or they would send it back. When we told them what was promised to us, they told us that was NOT their policy and that they didnt say that. WELL, if that was how it was, we wouldnt have bought there to begin there. Let alone spend over $1,000!

I had 4 dresses for my wedding, then my sister that was 3 weeks before me had 4.

They kept putting my wedding orders on hers and vice versa. Then they would send my girls notices that their dresses were in. They would drive over an hour to go get them, and then they would tell them they werent there. They also told my maid of honor that her dress would be in AFTER my wedding date even though we were about 45 days early from the order date!

It was stressful, as all weddings are. They have the market. But if I could have done it over, i would have gone to a smaller business! I will not buy any of my formals there again!

The sales women were great in helping find what I wanted for my dress and the alterations I needed. They were also very good with my bridesmaid dresses, and flower girls dress. I was very happy with their services.

Because Springfield is not the busiest place in the world, David's Bridal in Springfield is not usually crazy busy with customers. As a result I wound up with a consultant who helped me to find the perfect dress for me. And she remembered my name and when I was getting married everytime I walked in the door - and I never called in advance (although sometimes you should). She always knew who I was and was great at getting me everything I needed. She treated me like a princess. And in case you're wondering...her name is Lynn. As a big name store it can be pricey. I got my dress for $550. But then the veil...and alterations...and I helped a bridesmaid with her dress. I wound up spending an unexpected $1000 there. I got the DV credit card - interest free and payment free for 12 months. So I'll pay it off before that time. That was the only downfall. Everything else was perfect. (I will say - I visited DV in FL and I received no such great service. Far too busy to care that you even have a name let alone remember what it is!)

The first dress I tried on was the one. I was really surprised because I never expected to have that much luck at David's Bridal of all places, but Lynnette (the woman who helped me) made it so easy and fun! She even kept in touch with us after the wedding. It really was my dream dress, and it was a really great experience. If anyone else is like me and skeptical about David's Bridal, I will say this, they have brought in a lot of a designer lines that allow any woman to have her dream dress for less. Some of them can get awfully pricey, but they have a credit card you can sign up for, and they don't even charge interest for the first year. It really is a good option, and I reccommend checking it out!

They did have a great selection of wedding gowns and bride's maid dresses. Their customer service was very poor and I often received the run around on the status of my dress order. Also, my dress was never checked before pick up and there were many strings hanging off and missing beads. I was very impressed with their seamstress though.

Now that I have had my wedding...I wish that I had gone somewhere else for my dress. I chose to have a destination wedding, so I wanted something simple and had a month to get a dress. This is much of the reason for choosing to go with David's Bridal. Looking back, although I loved my dress, I wish I would have gone to a vendor that sells one of a kind dresses, not dresses that 10,000 brides can wear or have worn.

These people were a nightmare! They promised to have the dresses ready on a certain date and then it was five weeks longer. Good thing we planned ahead. We were not satisfied and they still made us pay full price, the manager was not helpful at all and did not seem to care about the customer being satisfied but only about money!
