I LOVED this venue! My husband and I both fell in love the second we saw the place in person. Britain has always been very helpful and answered any questions that I had. She always responded fairly quickly, was always very professional, and is almost always willing to meet (even if it is last minute). She coordinated everything for me, and made the day of the wedding so easy! The venue is beautiful, and we got several compliments on our choice.

The only reason this place is even getting a star is because the place was absolutely beautiful and the DJ was awesome! but that was it. First of all, her website talks about the bridal party arriving early to relax and enjoy champagne-well she had none available nor did anyone even offer us a beverage or crackers which would have been nice because we were burning up in our suite-me and and bridesmaid ended up finding some fans in a closet to circulate the hot air! Then, we realized the soles of our feet were BLACK because apparently they don't clean the floor so we all had to take turns and wash our feet and hurry into our shoes. No one told my mother or mother-in-law about the suite they were supposed to change in, they just kind of found a room and changed there. The tree we paid to stand in front of, the limb was dead and broken and they tried concealing it with an ugly foam of some sort-why Britain didn't tell us this? i have no clue. With the drought I would have understood and maybe changed to the wall. My husband was MAD. It was also her job to tell us when to go down the aisle, but she failed to tell me or let my train out. I was preoccupied with falling down so i didn't realize. My MOH mentioned it in front of Britain and all she said was "I THOUGHT she might have had a train, but wasn't sure...." She couldn't have asked me? It's her job! The staff? HORRIBLE. The bartender texted on his cell all night. My father had to get his attention because he ignored my five year old who wanted a soda. The staff never served me a plate. My husband had to get it. i only got two bites in before I had to dance with my husband and my father. I came back to find they had thrown it away. A full plate! No one ever offered to get me more food. My husband and brother had to get me refills and more food. Couldn't get the staff's attention because they wouldn't make eye contact. A staff member rudely told one of my bridesmaids she couldnt sit with the guests and needed to go back to the bridal table. I wish I was there for THAT! My parents then noticed some of the staff toward the end leaving with take out boxes to find they were leaving with my food! I wouldn't have minded, except when my mother in law asked if we can take the food with us, they responded- "well, if you really WANT to, but most people don't normally want the leftovers..." I PAID FOR IT! I wouldn't be surprised if the staff took some of my wine bottles. I paid until 9:30 pm, they started cleaning up and packing around us at 8:00. And were setting up for the party the next day. It was so rude. We had brought bubbles for the guests to blow when we left and my mother in law found it and asked what it was for, they didn't even bother bringing it out and passing it to the guests. I would have passed it myself if they hadn't stashed it hidden somewhere. Britain is very quick to respond to emails but that's about it. She isn't rude, but more an awkwardly friendly. I'm surprised to see positive reviews on here. If you go to yahoo and type in to see the reviews on the Castle, you will see the complaints which were similar to mine. Not only that, a client who posted a negative review on the castle, Britain was had a snide remarks and even stooped as low as to post her emails up. I think thats unprofessional and catty. Save your money ladies. This venue was NOT worth the money. I assure you I'm not some bridezilla and I'm a very easy person to satisfy and let things slide, but it has to be bad when I feel compelled to post a review. Thankfully I had great company and a great husband!! My husband would have posted a much nastier review.

Britian and her team at the Castle turned my day into a true fairy tale! They met every need that I could possibly have and my day ran smoothly! If there was ever an issue, I didn't know about it!

Absoulutely PERFECT! My new husband and I have joked that we had so much fun, that we want to get our marriage enolled so we can do it all over again. It is 3 months later and I am still getting comments from friends, family, and family friends of how wonderful the wedding was! Britian was fantastic and it would not have been the same without her; she made the planning process so easy, especailly since we were planning from out of town.

Britan was wonderful!! She was always quick to respond to my questions, yet she was easy going and laid back. She was very creative. THe people there helping on my wedding day were extremely polite! The Castle made the whole experience much less stressful for the Bride and absolutely memorable for all!

Britian is AMAZING. She really knows her stuff and goes above and beyond to make your wedding PERFECT. I had a pretty complicated wedding party setup, as well as grandparents who couldn't walk all the way down the aisle, and she made it all work out perfectly. She really took the stress off of me. Thank you for everything Britian! Our day wouldn't have been near as wonderful without you!

The Castle on the Lake definitely helped make my wedding day the most memorable day of my life!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Britain; she made everything so simple. I never hesitated to ask any questions and my wedding turned out spectacular! I have already recommended The Castle to some friends!

Evangalan and Britian were extremely hospitable and accomodating. They did absolutely everthing possible to make sure we were set. Their unique talents show off for every wedding and event they play host to. It has been truly my pleasure to know the both of them. On our big day when the cake arrived, we were not aware we were resposible for putting the flowers on it and at that point just didn't have time. Since everyone in the wedding party was so busy getting dressed Evangalan took the time out of her busy planning schedule to adorn the cake on her own. I couldn't have been more appreciative at the moment. Britian was always available when I needed her before the wedding to hammer out intimate details. Her open responsiveness was incredible! They did such a great job! There's no way I can thank them enough for all they have done for me. Their remarkable friendship and their dedication to what they do is rarely found anywhere else. I know I would not trade my big day or their friendship for anything in the world!
