Thank you Kya!! Our wedding ceremony was perfect! In the weeks leading up to the ceremony she was available to revise the ceremony script as many times as we wished. Kya was also very flexible-due to an error on the chapel's part, we were unable to rehearse inside...so without batting an eye, she ran the rehearsal on the front steps. Though the bridal party was unfamiliar with the inside of the chapel, everything before, during and after the ceremony went smoothly with her help.

Our ceremony was unique, personalized and emotional. We are still receiving compliments from our guests who thought we must have written it. But Kya just knew what to say because when we met with her she asked great questions to really understand our love for each other. She took that knowledge and created a wonderful ceremony that we will cherish forever.

Kya Rose had several ceremonies which could be customized. We chose the basic civil ceremony, and were still able to write our own vows. She communicated well with us and answered all our questions, and was prompt, calm, friendly, and professional on our big day.
We, and our guests, loved the thoughtful and original service she led. It had many good thoughts on marriage, and let us appreciate and savor the significance of the moment.

I was very happy with Kya, until the rehearsal. We specified in our 1st meeting that we wanted to do a Sand Ceremony, she said no problem. Then when the rehearsal came (1.5 yrs later) she went through everything. She missed the Sand Ceremony. We told her that we wanted it and that she had missed it in the first rehearsal. She said it wasn't in the contract and that she wouldn't do it. As a bride to be, the next day, you could imagine how upset I was. My family had to step in and say something. She gave in and said well since its not in the contract I can't say anything about it in the ceremony. I didn't care about anyone saying anything...I just wanted the Sand Ceremony.
In the end we were able to do it, but it still upsets me to this day that she would even say NO without even trying to work with us on it. The only reason she decided to work with us on it was because my sister-in-law and mom had to have a chat with her.

My apologies for your upset, Anonymous. The contract that we signed stated very clearly that the package you chose, my standard, included an "off-the-rack" ceremony with no customization, additions or special ceremonies. I had no record in my notes of any Sand Ceremony. When I agree to add one, which I will do from time to time, I gather information on the structure of such inclusions as the Sand Ceremony is done many different ways. Without your answers to those questions in my notes or a change to our contract, I find it hard to imagine that I included the Sand Ceremony to your package. Your review makes it sound as if I needed to be pulled aside and lectured before I finally relented. In actuality, your mention of a Sand Ceremony at the last possible moment gave me pause to mentally run through my notes and our contract. I readily agreed to allowing you to perform a Sand Ceremony. What I was unwilling to do was customize your "off-the-rack" ceremony on my own time despite a contract stating that such revisions are not included in the package price. No "chat" was required, merely a moment to collect my thoughts, notes and convey to you the terms of our contract. I will continue to reflect on my policies and update my contract, website and packages accordingly. I appreciate your input in this and, again, I am sorry that you were unhappy on your wedding day.

Luke and I were so glad to have Kya as our officiant. It was very important to us to have a non-traditional ceremony (we wanted it to be just about us rather than including religion), and Kya helped us to write and pull off the perfect ceremony! We got so many compliments on how personal and touching our wedding ceremony and vows were, and we couldn't have done it without her. She also made a few suggestions that helped us a ton (such as having a recessional line after the ceremony, which we hadn't thought of before). Overall, she was a very nice person and helped to deliver exactly what we wanted. Everyone was completely impressed.

Before I found Kya Rose I has having a horrible time locating someone to perform our outdoor ceremony, in northern Michigan. Even though she was in Lansing, she traveled ALL the way to Presque Isle and performed our beautiful ceremony. It was short, sweet and unique, just what we wanted. We are very happy with our ceremony and her services! Thanks again Kya!

We randomly came across Kya on the internet. We wanted a non-religious ceremony and she gave us exactly what we wanted. We re-wrote the ceremony several times because we kept changing our minds and Kya was very accommodating. She ran our rehearsal so everyone knew exactly what to do during the ceremony. She was an absolute delight to work with and very professional!

Kya was fabulous! We are not affiliated with any churches, but we are Christians. The ceremony was a perfect in that Kya incorporated a bit of religion but also other aspects of marriage. She is very professional, quick to respond if you have questions, and I felt her price was reasonable. She dressed well when she showed up (on time- well, early) for the ceremony.

My husband Christopher and I got married August 15, 2009 in the backyard of some good friends. We found Sister Kya Rose on a wedding site. We decided to get married with a very small time frame of about 8 weeks. She was quick to respond when we contacted her, and very flexible in agreeing to marry us on such short notice. We chose to do a Christian ceremony, and she did a fine job writing and performing it. She is a very warm and kind person, and I would recomend her to anyone planning a wedding. She also provided us with some good ideas for music and had different examples for ceremony styles.

Sister Kya was absolutely amazing! She met with us and interviewed us on our interests for the ceremony and the overall feeling of the day we wanted. She personalized our ceremony to include information about how we told her we felt about eachother and all the things we talked about wanting to include. She kept in close email connection with us during the planning process allowing us to add and remove things as we saw necessary and also provided us with knowledge and suggestions. We got many compliments on the ceremony and also how wonderful she was. She was all smiles and working with her was a lot of fun. We would recommend her to everyone!
