How do you
identify your primary photographic style?
During the wedding day it is primarily photojournalistic, with traditional posed family photos and some editorial posed photos if time allows. |
Please describe
any special techniques you offer:
Infrared photography |
Which lighting
situations do you have experience with?
As a wedding photographer, I have experience with almost everything - dark venues, candlelight, overcast, you name it! |
Do you have a
media preference?
Digital |
How many
photographers do you work with?
I shoot all weddings with a second shooter, as this allows us to get a variety of angles throughout the ceremony & reception. |
Do you
guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Uhm, yes. I have a contract that says as much. |
Do you
sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
I never book more than one wedding in a day. I have had one weekend where there were two in the same weekend. |
Do you have a
replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on
the wedding day?
Yes, I have an extensive network of photographers who I could call upon if I had an emergency. |
What kind of
equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
4 camera bodies, approximately 10 lenses, 3 flashes, monopods, and anything else we may feel is necessary for the day. |
Do you bring
back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We have backups for everything from camera bodies to lenses to flashes. |
Do you charge
hourly or full day?
There are a variety of package options, and I am happy to provide custom quotes to meet exact needs. |
If hourly, are
you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you
charge for overtime?
Yes, time can be extended the day of the event at a rate based on the selected package. |
Do you require
a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party
provide your meal?
For all events over 5 hours we request a meal, and ask that we eat in the main event room seated with guests - this allows us to photograph anything spontaneous that happens. We normally do not take photos as people are eating, and try to eat as soon as possible after the bride & groom receive their plates. |
How many breaks
do you usually take throughout the day?
Minimal, and only during appropriate down times. |
Do you charge
for travel?
Over 100 miles outside of 77002 (downtown Houston), there is a mileage fee. |
How soon after
the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4-6 weeks, although with new system going into place for proofing this should speed up. |
In what format
are the initial proofs offered?
Online proofing, with a contact-sheet style coffee table book. (One bride described it as a "yearbook style".) DVDs of digital negatives are also offered. |
How long can
the couple keep the proofs?
The book is theirs to keep. The online gallery is normally online for 3 months, but can be extended at no extra charge. |
Do you retain
the copyright for the photos?
Yes. A print release is provided with the DVD of digital negatives.
|
Do you reserve
the right to publish the photos?
Yes, with a signed model release. |
Do you provide
the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the
negatives) to the couple?
Most packages include the digital negatives, and they are available as an add-on with the other packages. |
Will images be
available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes. |
What kind of
albums do you offer?
Flushmount and coffee table style with a variety of options. |
When will I get
the final book?

it take to deliver a book?
Varies depending on company selected for album, ranges from 3-4 months for most. |
