Wedding Photography in New Haven

Ian Christman of Catalyst Photography was an exceptionally professional, thoughtful, creative and courteous wedding photographer. We called Ian since he had photographed three of our couple friends' weddings and they all gave him rave reviews. And we had long admired his work. In preparing for the wedding Ian was incredibly helpful and we met with him at his studio twice -- both times he offered plenty of expert advice. At wedding night he was just great -- many guests came up to us just to say, "Your photographer was so nice." Most importantly, Ian is a great photographer. We've seen his other non-wedding work and he is the real deal in terms of being a professional artist.

We planned a last minute elopement in about a week, and are so happy we found Rob. He was very responsive via email, showed up early to the location to get pics of our arrival, and got our photos back to us a lot faster than I expected. He was also so positive and upbeat, it really added to the joyfulness of the occasion. We loved our wedding photos and highly recommend him!

From the beginning when I saw Randell’s work I knewww I had to have him as our wedding photographer! His work is phenomenal ! We received so many pictures & I am so grateful to have him part of our special day. I was literally In tears going through all of our wedding photo’s. I would recommend him to anyone ! He is the best of the best !

Stephen Wang did such a wonderful job photographing our wedding, I don't even know where to begin. He was friendly and responsive during the planning phase, and perfectly captured the spirit of our day. From formal photos to candids to action shots, he got it all. I can't recommend Stephen Wang Photography enough!

Working with Jessica was, by far, one of the best choices we made for our wedding day. She was very easy to speak with, and after our first phone call we were left with the confidence that she'd be a perfect fit for our wants and needs. She helped us with planning the day's itinerary, keeping everything on schedule, and she took tons of amazing photos while still allowing us to enjoy all parts of our day - everything we were hoping for and more! Our families absolutely loved her as well, she was an absolute joy to work with! Brigham & Co. was worth every penny and we'd enthusiastically recommend their services to anyone looking to capture amazing memories on their special day!

Julia's photographs perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the day! Having worked with Julia at friends and family weddings, family portraits, our proposal AND engagement - Julia made us feel so comfortable. Julia felt like family dancing along side us to ABBA, but also captured epic photos of my mother of pearl disco shoes! Julia's style is soft and romantic, but also can bring in some edgy party vibes to capture all sides of our personalities. We loved working through this process with her and also watching Julia bring in new media and tools to continue to grow her artistic craft!

Erica and Mike were amazing to work with! Not only are they incredible photographers, but also incredible people! They have the best personalities and know how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera! Erica has an incredible way of making every photo look so dreamy and natural. Our goal was to find a photographer that didn’t edit the photos heavily and had a more clean and natural look and Erica was the perfect fit. Both Erica and Mike are willing to do whatever is needed to make sure every photo is perfect. We love them both so much and are hoping our friends use them in the future! Thank you so much!!!

Gary was so wonderful to work with and just took beautiful photos. He's an artist AND his prices are reasonable. In addition, we had some images the next day! I'm so glad we trusted him with our photos and would highly recommend him to any couple.

Words cannot express how grateful I am that I hired them to capture my engagement photo shoot and wedding day! I would not consider myself a photogenic person and communicated that I was nervous and may need some guidance around poses etc. He assured me that he would provide support and direction as needed. Richard’s attention to detail is impeccable. He pays attention even down to the finger nails. He has a vision and is not afraid to do what it takes to get a shot. Richard starts “journaling with light” from the very moment you meet him. He is super professional and punctual. In Boston, there are some beautiful yet busy places. Although this is not his home town, I was incredibly impressed by his ability to take a novice setting and capture the essence of what that place meant to us. At the engagement photoshoot, I was so blown away by his attention to detail that I just knew those photos would be amazing and he did not disappoint. He delivered hundreds of pictures that were all magazine worthy. It quickly became clear to my husband and I (and my other vendors) that we would not have a wedding day if he was not a part of it. We added extra time in our schedule to get more opportunities to take photos with him. Fast forward to June 2021, Richard provided the same quality, professionalism and excellence as he did during the engagement shoot. He worked well with all of my vendors, family and friends. He was able to capture great photos of my brother who has autism. Even my father in law, who was a wedding photographer for 30 years, was very impressed and said “ It is very clear that Richard knows what he’s doing. His vision is impeccable.” While taking pictures in a secluded garden might be okay, taking pictures in Downtown Boston on Boylston Street (on the day of a Red Sox game!) can be chaotic! However, this challenge did not intimidate Richard. He did such an amazing job creating peace on such a busy street. I am grateful to have photos of us literally stopping traffic with our love.
