My passion would transform your wedding into a very happy and special event that it deserves to be. Monte was a "Classical" Wedding and Portrait Photographer, Eddie is well versed in a computer program called Photoshop, Ken is a well known wedding photographer residing in Arizona and Doug is a master photographer as well as a person who works at making sure all clients have a wonderful experience with him. These and many others form the basis of my wedding photography.

Additional Questions and Answers
Frequently Asked Questions

How long after the Wedding does it take to see our pictures? Since we are 100% digital capture it takes a few days to have your photos ready for you.

Do you have a selection of album styles to choose from and will I see them when I meet with you? Yes, we have various sizes and styles of albums to choose from that you will see when you meet with Bill Clark. He has several complete wedding albums for you to view his work as well as many sizes of enlargements from 4"x6" to 30"x40" photographs and a lot in between!

Will you photograph my wedding or will I get a staff photographer? Bill Clark is the photographer for all weddings with William Clark Photography. He has available several other photographers that can be hired for your wedding to help Bill.

Will you complete most of the formal photography before the wedding? I don't want to be late for my reception! Yes, we cover the amount of time that will be needed before your ceremony during our planning session that is usually held when we take the engagement photos.

Do you offer photojournalism photography as well as black and white photographs? Most wedding photos should be unposed and we offer black & whites at no additional charge!

A few days before my wedding day, will you have a planning session with me and my fiance so that the day will go as I want it to? Planning is critical to a smooth-running, stress-free wedding day. A photographer should know how to make your day flow just as you want, with a minimum of stress.

Do you have backup equipment? Simply put, YES! We carry a backup of everything in the unlikely event something fails to work or is damaged during the day.

Do you work out of a studio or your home? All administrative duties and business are taken care of in my home office. We have a studio in our home for taking photographs; however, since 90% of our work is done away from the office, we really don't have the need for a large studio. This keeps our costs down. We do have a small indoor studio setup for formal photography. This studio can also be packed up and taken almost anywhere.

How much of a deposit is required to hold you for our Wedding? We require a $600 deposit to hold your wedding date. If for any reason, you need to cancel, my policy is a 100% refund of your deposit up to the day of your wedding. The balance is due 30 days after the Wedding. Of course, paying in advance of the due date is always acceptable.

What kind of pictures do you take? We always adhere to your wishes in terms of the style of pictures taken. Our overall style could best be described as Contemporary. This is a combination of photojournalistic candids, the best of the traditional groups and portraits, and an in-between style that is relaxed, fun, and romantic—where we are not posing you for every shot. If you look at some of our wedding photography samples you will see that we use photography to tell a story—the story of your day!

An important thing to remember is the opportunity for family photos. Weddings are one of life's events where family members from near and far gather. A Wedding is a time and place where your friends and family get together in one place, for a happy occasion. How many times will this happen in your lifetime? When was the last time you had a good picture with your mother or father... grandparents... aunts uncles, etc? If you really think about it, Wedding photographs are truly a family heir loom because they are not only a part of your personal history, but also a part of your children's family history.

Why hire a Wedding photographer? Your Wedding photos are one of the few things that will last for years to come after the Wedding. The food will be eaten, the Wedding dress hangs in the closet, and the flowers have long since wilted. But the photos can bring back the memories of your special day for a lifetime.

Can our friends and family take pictures that you setup and pose? Of course! However, due to the time constraints of the day our contract states that we are the only professional photographers. This is because when photographing large groups, the attention of the group sometimes may be lost with a large number of cameras pointed at them. We need to make sure the photos we take (the ones you are paying for) are perfect and we may need to limit other photography if the situation is getting out of hand. Every circumstance is different but in general we try to accommodate the need for friends and family to take pictures.

What is the best way to reserve you for my Wedding? Please call us at 612-382-2837 to check for availability. The first deposit we accept for a date will reserve the date and time.

Can you recommend a DJ? or other services? Yes, we can discuss this when we have our meeting.

Tips and Advice
How To Choose The Right Wedding Photographer For You!

Wow! This Is A Lot of Work! Is It Worth it?

Choosing a photographer for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you have to make. Who you decide to be your wedding photographer will impact you for your entire life. Think about it. Your wedding is a team consisting of you, your family, relatives and friends. With your photographer, images will be created that will last for generations to come, telling a story about your beautiful wedding day.

What will that story be? Remember it is through the eyes, heart and soul of your photographer that will capture a symphony of photographs of your wedding. How should your wedding play out? This will help guide you to make the correct decision.

Consider Selecting Your Photographer First! Why? I have created weddings in many places. I offer a broad view from the many experiences I've created with photography. I can suggest clothing and flowers that will help flatter you and make you more attractive and beautiful. I have taken weddings at many locations and can help you with your selection of place for your ceremony and reception. By having those experiences, covering a broad base of locations, looked at clothing on people, what will make you look beautiful is important versus what's in fashion at the moment.

Is the time of day or evening important to you? How about the month? Have you considered a Friday or Sunday wedding? Don't look just on availability! Talk to me. I've had experiences with many, many places.

Think About Your Wedding Day Search the internet for thoughts and ideas on lists of recommended pictures to take. This task, perhaps, will cause you to think about what style of wedding should I have? Do you want portraits of you and your significant other and your families? And photographs of relatives and friends? What about the candid photojournalism photographs? Are they important to you?

I've printed several possible lists for you to look at and see if they fit with your vision of your wedding. Remember, this is your wedding. You are in charge. Any photographer you are possibly going to hire should be able to create both the portrait images as well as the photojournalistic images. It's not the quantity of images but the quality that counts!

Here are some questions You Should Ask Every Photographer You Interview:

How much money do you think I should spend for my wedding including a wedding album?

How much do you charge for reprints?

Will you have all the images on the internet so everyone from my wedding can view and purchase them?

How will I select the wedding photographs? What will I see? Can I get a CD of the images? How about a digitized proof book? How long can I order my photographs? Can I receive/buy the negatives and/or digital files?

Will you photograph the wedding the way I want you to?

Should I seek advice from my family and friends?

What is your photographic style? What do you think is right for me?

What about black and white images?

What role does makeup and hairstyle play with photography?

Who will photograph my wedding? How important is the personality and appearance of your photographer? Will you have at least one assistant?

Do I really want to see the real me?

Do you prefer a “hands-off” or “hands-on” approach to your wedding photography?

What is your philosophy of wedding photography?

Can you recommend how you might photograph me, so that I can have the most beautiful pictures I've ever had?

Is there anything about my face or my personality that you think you could emphasize or de-emphasize?

Where would you be placing the emphasis in your photography? On the wedding party? The family? Faces? Feelings?

Timing is very important for my wedding. When will the formal pictures be taken? This has the potential to cause a lot of stress!

Should I have pictures taken of the both of us together before the wedding?

Should I be concerned with the photographer's equipment?

Have you taken at least one class each year to keep up your creativity and wedding photography skills? Who, where and when did you take the seminar?

What is your reaction at the conclusion of the interview? Should you make a commitment or go see other photographers? I believe if you are comfortable with the person and the answers that s(he) gave you I'd sign up on the spot with a guarantee that you have “x” number of days to cancel with a full refund of your down payment.

All your family members, relatives and friends will be affected by your decision. Yes, the choice of your wedding photographer is very important. The joy (or pain) of your ultimate collection of wedding images will be with you much longer than the amount of money invested!

Now go back and read the first line just below the title. Your answer to the question? Isn't it obvious? I hope a definite YES!

Thanks!

Bill Clark
