Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?
We offer one private tasting for up to four people for all wedding cake orders.
 
What are your tasting hours?
Our tastings are done by appointment only.
 
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Wedding and occasion cakes are priced per serving. We do offer a selection of dessert cakes priced by cake for your everyday needs.
 
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
The Queen's Cakery includes a 4 inch or 6 inch top tier for free with all wedding cake orders if you want to store it for your First Anniversary. Another option we offer is a coupon for a free, fresh cake on your first anniversary. This means that you would pay for and serve the top tier of your wedding cake. Prior to your first anniversary, you would place an order with us for an anniversary cake and we'll make a 4 inch or 6 inch replica of your wedding cake's top tier for free.
 
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
All of our cakes are custom made for your event.
 
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
Our cakes, fillings, and icings include ingredients such as real butter, the highest-quality real vanilla, and fresh fruit.
 
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
It is important to us that we give your cake the individual attention it deserves. We take only one wedding cake order per weekend, and we take only a limited number of orders per week.
 
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
We are more than happy to work with your florist to select flowers that are food-safe.
 
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Transporting and setting up a tiered cake is tricky business, so we highly recommend that we deliver and set up all tiered cake orders. Delivery within 15 miles of Redfield, Iowa, or within the Des Moines metro area is available for a flat fee of $15.00. Delivery outside of these areas is $1.00 per mile roundtrip from Redfield.
