About
Real Moments make Real Memories. At Studio EMP we respect your celebration and don’t want photography to be the focus of the day unless you want it to be. Our goal is to make real images; and to do that we hang back, observing you and guests acting naturally in order to capture their true expressions and interactions.

The only time we direct anyone is during the group and family photos. Our goal is to get them done in an efficient, yet fun way. During portraits of you and your new spouse, we encourage interaction and being yourselves in order for us make images that are true to your individual personalities as well as  your connection to one-another. We'll also make some images of you looking at the camera- variety is key!

We are constantly on the lookout for new vantage points, new ideas, new looks, new techniques to stay ahead of the pack and to make your album as unique and cool as you are.

We’re available (and love) to travel worldwide- current passports and experienced travelers. Travel at cost only!

Check out our site if this sounds like the vibe you’re going for- thanks!

I have worked with Joel and Jeni on different occasions and highly recomend Studio EMP for any event or occasion that you would like to capture with incredible and artistic photos. Both Joel and Jeni are fun and easy to work with, they are very personal and really understand what you are looking for in making photos special for your occasion.
Joel is a Professional in every way ... and his photography captures amazing details! I've visited his beautiful studio and just walking into such a perfectly designed studio makes a statement about the impeccable taste and artistic eye(s) Joel and his team have for beauty and style. When I look at one of Joel's photographs, I've noticed that every photo seems to tell a story and gives you a clear feeling of the event. His work alone stands out from many photographers indeed ... but it his warm and genuine down-to-earth personality that makes me want to work with him more! He "loves" what he does ... and it "shows"!

Tips and Advice
In choosing a photographer use the style and quality of the images as your top deciding factor. Don't make the mistake of booking a photographer because they are offering so much for so little- How valuable is a huge book(s), lots of prints and other products if you don't LOVE the images in them? A book of images that allow you to relive your day as you saw and felt it will have much more value to you in the future. The next deciding factor should be how you get along with the photographer in your meeting. If you are wary about the personality of a photographer meshing with yours and your guests- stear clear. The most complaints I hear about disappointing photogrphers is not about poor images- they're about how rude the photographer was. You should have fun on your day! Very important: never, ever book a studio not knowing who your photographer will be! Your wedding is such an important day, how could you let this huge decision be left to chance? Large, big box, corporate studios book all the weddings they possibly can then scramble to find photographers to shoot them at the last minute. All the good photographers will be booked with their own weddings and they are stuck digging deeper and deeper into the bottom of the barrel to find shooters... especially on busier days! With a smaller studio you are able to meet and get comfortable with the photographer that WILL be at your wedding. Use a big box store for toilet paper or electronics, not for a wedding photographer!
