Having a word limit on a website is a problem for me when it comes to describing to vendors and brides what it's like to work with Tammy, Krissy and Erin of Special Moments. In trying to keep this short, let's just put it this way ... I am truly impressed at how knowledgeable all of these ladies are. And talking about creative? I think they must have written the book! I've sat in their office and have witnessed Tammy helping a bride and her mother, who thought they knew what they wanted but really didn't, watching in amazement as Tammy asked the perfect questions in order to get to know exactly who this family was and what they truly wanted to experience on their wedding day. They walked in confused and walked out saying "wow!" Her ability to stretch your budget so you can have what you really want is priceless. Speaking now as a pro disc jockey, this team is really Special! They make my job almost effortless, allowing me to concentrate on the music and the action on the dance floor. When I work with Special Moments I no longer need to line up a bridal party for a ceremony or reception introduction. I no longer have to hunt down the Best Man or Maid of Honor for their toasts, or find a guest or a parent I've never met because I want to play a special dedication to them from my couple. All I do is ask and it's done with a smile! The toss-away bouquet just appears on my table when it's time for the Bouquet Toss. Tammy, Krissy and Erin are the best at what they do. They put smiles on their couples faces and allow their vendors to be who they are. When was the last time you had a boss say, "just do what you do" .... Having worked with Tammy and her team of professionals many times, I can say that the attention given to her bride and the details of her event are outstanding. A: Yes!  If you’re trying to decide whether or not you need a wedding planner since the venue offers an in-house coordinator, there is quite a difference between those two. Here are just a few of the many things that a wedding planner can help with that a venue in-house coordinator can’t:

  • Reviewing all your vendor contracts for errors or potential problems
  • Helping you combine all the elements and create an overall wedding style

A: The most important thing when selecting a Wedding planner is to find someone that you trust and feel completely comfortable working with. With all of the decisions to be made in the upcoming year and the amount of time you are going to be spending together this is extremely important. You also want to ensure that the Wedding planner is someone who is keeping up with industry trends and has the education and backing of vendors and other professionals in the wedding industry. Special Moments are members with the Association of Bridal Consultants, We have been educated on all aspects of wedding planning and are required to have continuing education in the wedding industry to keep ourselves and bridal couples informed about the latest trends. We thrive and enjoy planning weddings!
 
Q: What will my coordinator wear to my wedding?
 
A: Special Moments staff prefers to blend in with your wedding. We are there to represent you, not promote our business; therefore we do not wear uniforms. However it isn’t exactly comfortable for us to wear evening gowns while working behind the scenes. Typically our staff will wear dress slacks and a blouse or a simple dress for an afternoon or beach wedding and a pant suit or cocktail dress for an evening reception.
 
Q: Where are you located?
 
A: Special Moments is located just outside South Pasadena on your way out to Treasure Island, but we realize our clients have very busy schedules and may not be able to travel to us for appointments or come in during normal business hours. We can make arrangements to meet with you at a time or place that is convenient for you so you don’t have to go out of your way.
