About

Real moments are beautiful
Is your photographer ready?

Sparrow is fun, fresh wedding photography.
Customizable packages will fit your budget. Artistic images, reasonable rates, world class albums.

Will your wedding images be cookie-cutter snaps
or a journal telling the story of the best day of your life?

I will capture the fleeting moments of your day - true photojournalism.

As a result, your wedding album will be filled with emotionally charged images that you will treasure for a lifetime.  My style is very "fly on the wall" as others have described; I love to capture the moment without distracting from it because your day is just that - yours. Throughout your day I will capture the most significant moments: documenting his expression as he sees his bride for the first time, sharing tears with your best friend, time spent with your dad before walking down the aisle. These are the pieces of your day that you want to hold on to; the ones that mean the most.

This year my husband and I will celebrate our 9th anniversary (where does time go?) so I very much understand the importance of wedding pictures years down the road.  Both the wonderful "hidden" moments of the day... as well as documenting your family and friends.

My roots are deeply connected to creating beautiful images.  My dad is a photographer & visual artist and he taught me growing up how to rea
d the light first, then document things in the sweetest light available.  This results in one-of-a-kind images with an artistic quality that you will adore for always.

Tips and Advice

Trust your photographer.

This tip is pretty simple & straightforward; there’s nothing complex about it. However, the tough part is actually DOING it.

When you hire a photographer for your wedding, one of the most critical attributes to look for is someone you can trust. Hiring a wedding photographer is scary! You’re in essence, purchasing something that at the time you pay for it, is invisible. You can’t control the outcome and there are no guarantees. That is why trust is so very important.

I work very hard to build trust with my clients because I know how scared they can be, and how close this purchase is to their hearts. One of the reasons I have a blog is to build that trust over the long-term with potential clients. They can see the consistency in my work. They can see that I am involved in the Industry. They can learn about me up front and even peek into my personal life. They deserve to know these things – because they are putting their faith into me.

I take the honor of photographing someone’s wedding very seriously and know that part of my job is to make it as easy as possible for a client to trust me. I’m asking a lot be asking for their trust. Bus trust is crucial in this relationship – and I do my job to earn it.

What I want most for my clients is that they enjoy their wedding day, free of any worry that al the right shots are being taken. So relinquish control over the photography; if you micro-manage the photography, not only are you not in the moment enjoying yourself, you’re going to stress out your photographer in the process. As artists, we need to be free to get into the creative zone and work our magic. And knowing that we have your trust allows us to work with confidence and do our very best for you.

Trust your photographer; enjoy what is sure to be the very best day of your life!
