With whom I've shared so much of life

As you and Rich become husband and wife.
We share a deep passion for music
Chick flicks and sipping our tea

We've joked about you being nutty
Spontaneous, fun loving - it's true

Whose been faithful and loving, true blue.
Ten years you and Rich are together
Distance couldn't keep you apart

How you nurture the dreams in your heart.

There's been the exchanging of rings

This day is a day like no other - I see how you sparkle and  shine
This magnificent day of September in the year two thousand and nine.

Dear Cheri, we're gathered to celebrate, your marriage to Jeff,
the love of your life,
I'm so proud and incredibly happy
to have watched you grow from daughter to wife.
As Mom and I drove along the Charles River,
on that wondrous Halloween night
God sent me a sign on the radio - "Isn't She Lovely" -
Stevie sure got that right!
You've always been able to hold your own -
resourceful, independent - full of fun,
By birth order you're the middle child -
but to me you'll always be number one.
Even during the times we were distant,
there was always unconditional love in my heart,
Such a beautiful child, a gift in my life
I knew you were special right from the start.
At age 5 worries about Santa's safety,
at 21 pub crawling all night,
Cherished memories of peanut, Cheri Berry,  "Julie" -
our cruise director helped our ship sail just right.
Vivacious, outgoing, a strong sense of self -
sense of humor we 'd laugh 'til we cried,
From the first DARE graduate to a Masters Degree,
 and now a radiant bride.
Thanks to  Brian whom you met in Australia,
you met Jeff, and now here I stand,
Sending the two of you off on life's journey,
the circle of love on ring finger left hand.
The dancing and toasting that first slice of cake,
 garter toss and the bridal bouquet,
Celebrations, traditions the laughter and joy
keepsake treasures of your wedding day.
A joy that is shared is a joy multiplied.
and sorrow shared is divided in two,
Serenity, peace,fulfillment and joy
is the wish in my heart to both of you.
Your love as your compass will guide you,
be your anchor every day of your life,
Here's to Cheri and Jeff, as you set sail on your way
to begin your journey as husband and wife.
