Describe your DJ style:
Marc works for you and his number one top priority is listening to you and learning from you (during unlimited consultations with you!) EXACTLY what type of wedding ceremony and reception celebration you would like to have on your wedding day and he will do WHATEVER you would like him to do! MARC IS EXTREMLY FLEXIBLE! (Please read the wedding reviews submitted by previous clients!) If you prefer, Marc can be an "invisible" DJ; who sits back and plays the music you have selected; or he can be somewhat interactive; or; he can be very energetic and very interactive for you! BUT; this is YOUR SPECIAL DAY and he will NEVER steal your day from you and be an annoying; overwhelming DJ! Your wedding day should absolutely revolve around you and Marc does whatever you want! Personally; Marc absolutely LOVES HIGH ENERGY weddings! He LOVES high energy Grand Entrances and toe tapping Cocktail Hours! Marc understands that most meal times are a little bit more low key/reserved; but then he can re-energize your evening after dinner for the Open Dancing periods of your reception; high energy and fun Garter and Bouquet Toss events! Marc can not stress enough that this is YOUR SPECIAL DAY and he will do whatever you want him to do and be whatever you want him to be!

How many other DJs do you work with?
Marc does not employ other DJ's. When you hire MJDJ Service for your wedding ceremony and/or reception; rest assured that Marc will be the DJ on your special day! There will be no surprises on who will be showing up on your wedding day! Marc has never had to cancel an event over the past 4 years of being in service; but if something happens beyond his control and he absolutely cannot make it to your wedding; he has a network of very reliable, fun, friendly DJ's who would take his place the day of your wedding; although; Marc does not ever expect that to happen! Marc also only accepts one event per day so that he can focus ALL of his attention on YOU for your special day!!! So have no worries about Marc being "double-booked" on your wedding day!

Do you have replacement DJs in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
YES!

Do you specialize in any ethnic and/or international events?
No. But Marc has had the awesome opportunity being involved in providing DJ services for many ethnicities: Latin, Persian, Brazilian and other ethnic wedding ceremonies and receptions! Marc LOVES learning about other cultures and customs and will gladly work with you to learn exactly what customs you would like to incorporate into your special wedding day!

Is the bride able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes! Marc prefers and encourages Brides and Grooms to meet with him before their wedding day! Marc offers unlimited pre-planning assistance for your wedding! He takes great pride in his customer service and offers unlimited consultations via face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails to discuss, review and finalize all the details. Marc will also meet and work with your other event staff to ensure that your wedding is successful!

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the couple, do you require that they provide it?
Marc requires that all song requests are submitted in writing 1 week prior to your wedding date. Marc will do everything in his power to obtain all of the music you have selected before your wedding day! If Marc has absolutely exhausted all of his means of obtaining special song requests; he may ask that you provide the song to him.

What is your usual attire?
Formal; unless the Bride and Groom request something other than formal. This is YOUR wedding! Marc will dress the way YOU want him to!

Do you bring your own equipment?
Of course! Marc offers State-Of-The-Art Sound Systems and Professional Lighting Packages to customize your wedding! Marc is totally digital; meaning ALL of his music is in MP3 format and located on his special DJ software loaded on his laptop! Marc does not have to rummage through a stack of CD's for a particular song; all of his music is just one click away; literally at his fingertips! He brings back up equipment as well in case of equipment failure.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

What is your minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Marc's minimum performance time is 4 hours but he is always available for overtime!

Do you usually emcee the reception and/or talk between songs?
Marc always Emcee's the reception! (Unless you would like to have someone else do this!) This is YOUR big day and Marc will work with you and do whatever you would like him to do! He will never talk or make announcements during the middle of a song; but he may occasionally make announcements in-between songs to let guests know when certain special events will be taking place during the evening so everyone knows what is going to happen next!

Do you take any breaks?
No!

Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
Marc does not EVER require that the wedding party provide a meal and he does not require a meal break!

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site and/or couple provide a table for you to setup on?
Normally; the set up time is approximately one hour. Of course, the set up time depends on what extra equipment and professional lighting packages the Bride and Groom have requested for their wedding. For instance; if two sound systems are required, or custom, professional lighting packages are requested; it may take a little longer than one hour to set up. Marc will also perform extensive sound tests before your wedding so everything (music/microphones, etc.) sound perfect! Most venues will provide a skirted DJ table which will match the color scheme of your wedding; but Marc does have his own table with white linens he can bring to set up for your wedding.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
Actually; Marc does not take up much space! A 6' rectangular DJ table is MORE than enough room. Marc does require a standard 120-volt grounded 3-prong outlet with at least 15 amps available, from a reliable power source within 25 feet of the DJ set up area.

What is your overtime rate?
Marc's overtime rate is $49.99 per each half hour beyond the first inital 4 hours.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We do not charge any travel or mileage fees for events being held within a 40 mile radius from Seabrook, TX. There is a sliding scale fee for events that are being held beyond that 40 mile radius. We have been known to negotiate these fees or not charge them at all depending on the "extra's" (professional lighting packages, over-time charges, etc.) you may request for your wedding!

Additional Questions and Answers
How can we reserve your services? Upon agreement of your event date, Marc requires a non-refundable reservation fee and signed contract to reserve DJ service for that date. The remaining balance will be due 10 days prior to your event.
How far in advance do we need to reserve a DJ? Some people reserve their DJ a year in advance; others reserve their DJ 6 months or less in advance. Marc specializes in last minute and emergency bookings so please contact him and he will do everything possible to DJ your wedding! Please keep in mind that Marc only reserve one event per day so that he can focus all of his attention on YOU and your wedding for that day!
What role does a DJ play at a Wedding Ceremony and/or Wedding Reception? For Wedding Ceremonies; MJDJ Service plays the Bride and Groom's requested "Guest Arrival" music, along with all the music they have chosen for their Wedding Ceremony, such as: Wedding Party Procession, Bride Procession, Recessional music and any other special music the Bride and Groom would like played during their Wedding Ceremony. Not only does Marc play the Bride and Groom's requested music at their Wedding Reception; he is also your Emcee; which includes but is not limited to: announcing Special Events such as The Wedding Party and Bride/Groom Grand Entrance (Marc will also help line everyone up in the order they will be introduced!), Bride/Groom First Dance, announcing Dinner, Toasts, Cake Cutting, Special Dances such as the Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance, Garter Removal/Toss, Bouquet Toss, Grand Exit and any other special events you have planned for your Wedding Reception. When Marc arrives at your Wedding Ceremony and/or Reception he will provide all of your vendors a printed timeline of events so the Photographer, Videographer, Caterer and all other vendors know what event is happening at what time. Marc also coordinates and ensures that key people involved in your reception such as your Toasters, the Father of the Bride and Mother of the Groom are ready before their special roles take place.
Will you drink alcohol during our wedding? Not under any circumstances! Marc's company policy is: No consumption of alcohol before or during any event! You will notice the advantages of having a sober DJ!
Who controls the volume? You do, you’re the boss!
Do you have a microphone that we can use? A wireless microphone will be provided for any toasts or special occasions and announcements.
Do we tip the DJ? If at the end of the night you feel Marc has surpassed your expectations and you would like to tip him, he would accept it as the utmost compliment.
