Hold a wedding in a former Catholic elementary school? Amen to that! - and we promise, no one will rap your knuckles with a ruler for bad behavior. In fact, we encourage you to dance in the hallways, drink on school property, laugh out loud in classrooms and more.

Built in 1936 as the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, this hotel is a gem unlike any other, offering comfortable and modern guestrooms, an onsite brewery, a year-round soaking pool, quaint small bars and more. After your big event, guests can enjoy the entire property, taking in the original artwork, stopping for a glass of wine or a pint of ale, gathering together in any number of cozy spots including hidden rooms. We even have one cottage that accommodates up to 10 where you can host an entire wedding party.

Best Day Ever at Old St Francis

We had a September wedding at McMenamins Old St Francis and it was perfect. We held both our ceremony and reception inside the event room, although we had considered holding the ceremony outside off-site initially, we were glad that we chose to do it inside as it was really hot that day and it would have been hard on everyone to sit outside in that heat in formal wear. The reception went so smoothly and the food was so good. Adrianne was so easy to work with and so helpful in making sure our (and our guest's) needs were met. The event room was beautiful and the staff at McMenamins were so great and responsive to our needs. Many of us stayed in the hotel and everyone had a great time exploring the property, the secret rooms, and the multiple bars on site. We had the best day with our friends and family and can't wait to go back for our anniversary.

Great rehearsal dinner venue!

This venue was booked for my son’s rehearsal dinner. The event planner Adrianne was extremely helpful, professional, and executed our wishes flawlessly. She provided me with an opportunity to purchase bulk gift cards which saved me $400. (Be sure to take advantage of this offering!) Not only was the price point spot on, the evening and experience was outstanding. The Team executed the event flawlessly. The banquet lead was responsive to my requests and follow through promptly. Food was delicious! Hot dishes stayed hot; cold items stayed cold. Carving station was an excellent touch and ‘leveled-up’ the meal. All walked away highly impressed with the experience and delicious meal. Well done McMenamin’s Old St Francis School Team! You created a lovely experience and a night to remember for our family and friends. Highly recommend.

Valuable Quality

I could not have asked for a better venue than McMenamins Old St Francis. They were incredibly helpful in guiding me plan, flexible with our reception vision and affordable. The location was perfect since our guests have never been to central Oregon and the location's uniqueness allowed our guests to have a memorable experience.
