Yes - because every wedding photo we artistically create is hand-toned in Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop, our unique style is custom and intensive.

Absolutely - from low light, to intense out door lighting - we specialize in creatively using available light.

Digital, although you'll find a few of us will still bring along a polaroid camera or two just for fun. :)

How many photographers do you work with?
We are a custom studio with 3 individual shooters.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Whether it be our chief photographer and owner Brett, or one of our other talented photographers, the photographer you choose for your day will be with you for the entire day of your event.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No individual photographer is ever booked for more than one event in a day, and no photographer handles more than one even per weekend - we want to give you our 100% attention on your wedding day.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Although we've never missed a wedding or event to date, it's always good to know that any professional photographer you are considering has a back-up plan. We are upstanding members of our local photographic community and are able to draw from a network of high-end colleagues should the worst happen.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Multiple camera bodies, multiple lenses, flash units, other cool gizmo's and gadgets. We shoot with professional grade bodies and lenses - high end equipment. To see a list, please see my equipment list on our website; http://www.makingthemoment.com/blog/2008/what-type-of-camera-do-you-shoot-with

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, always - every piece of equipment we shoot with has a back-up.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
Full day - we believe in holistically telling the story of your day.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Because we already include full day bookings in all packages - extra hours are unnecessary.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
The only break we look for is during the dinner meal. This isn't just for us - but it's for your guests, as most guests aren't comfortable with photos of them eating.

Do you charge for travel?
If the events are within a considerate distance of our home office usually not. We can custom quote any travel - but most situations with us do not require travel fees.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
We have an extensive post-production process for your imagery - because we retouch and creatively produce EVERY image we deliver in your set, a typical turn-around ranges from 8-10 weeks. All delivery dates from us are written into and guaranteed in our booking agreements.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We'll invite you into our creative offices for your "premier" night. We'll lavish you with some fun snacks, wine & hot chocolate while we enjoy your images & laugh over the memories. Additionally, you'll have access to your proofing/final website in a secure custom area. Best yet? They come on DVD for you to have for life :)

How long can the client keep the proofs?
We leave on our site for 3 months time - but because we package the image DVD with full resolution, print-licensed images, our clients have their images for life.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Printing rights are licensed to our clients for in home and personal use printing.
