About

Hi, I'm Leah!

I'm a photojournalist, and that's how I approach wedding photography. I'm always on the hunt for moments, connection, and emotion. I document each wedding as it is, as you are, and capture the joy of the people surrounding you. I share in that joy, and am known to have a huge smile on my face throughout the wedding day.

I specialize in capturing moments as they naturally unfold, without staging or influencing things. I'm not there to rush you through photos or hold you to a timeline. I want you to feel present on your wedding day, and I want to create a set of images that will bring you right back to that feeling when you look at them.

I approach each wedding with the same energy and eye for moments. I treat wedding day portraits casually - I make them easy and fun, and create portraits where you are connected and relaxed. My portraits are not overly posed (though I offer small tips to make you look your best), and therefore have a sense of comfort to them. We can spend as little or as much time on portraits as you want - I am there to work for you and want you to have the best wedding experience possible.

My goal is for couples to have a relaxed experience with wedding photography, to feel that they have the space to connect with each other and their guests, and to trust that their wedding will be seen through eyes that will tell the genuine story of their wedding day. I'm there to create an authentic set of wedding photos that transports you right back to your wedding day when you look at the images in years to come.

Breathtaking Work

Leah's photo's are absolutely breathtaking. I was so shocked to find that there wasn't photo's I didn't like! I am having a hard time picking and choosing which ones to put in our wedding album haha. She is very personable, talented, sweet, and was quick to get our photos to us after the wedding! My husband and I could not be happier that we chose her to do our photo's! I would recommend her to any future bride

Leah was fantastic. She was easy to work with, prepared, and overall just a pleasure to be around on the wedding day - she even made sure that when things got hectic before the ceremony I had a couple seconds to breathe. The pictures were beautiful, and very quickly turned around. We can't recommend Leah LaRiccia Photography enough!

Working with Leah at our October 2017 wedding was an absolute dream. We actually met Leah about a year earlier, when my boyfriend at the time hired Leah as a secret photographer to capture our engagement! From the first time we met Leah, we felt so comfortable around her, and loved her documentary style of taking photos.

Leah was an absolute delight at our wedding. Leading up to the big day, she was super responsive in making sure we had all the shots we wanted, and provided expert advice on the general timeline of the day. During the wedding itself, Leah and her assistant were running around, taking photos at all angles, to make sure they documented every aspect of our wedding.

After the wedding, we were so impressed by the quick turnaround time, with Leah posting a preview of our photos to Facebook within a week, a full blog post within two weeks, and all the wedding photos just under three weeks after the wedding. We are beyond amazed by the professionalism and timeliness of all the photos!

We would highly, highly, highly recommend Leah and her team to photograph your wedding!

Leah and her assistant were amazing to work with on our wedding day and made the whole picture taking process fun and easy. I was planning the wedding from afar, so I actually met Leah for the first time the morning of the wedding while we were getting ready. She immediately felt like a close friend and it was so evident how much fun she has. I chose her particularly because I wanted a photojournalist style, I wanted moments captured and not fake posing moments. Leah was fantastic at both stepping back, allowing events to unfold and capturing them as well as taking control and making the posed pictures happen in an efficient manner. We have some gorgeous posed photos and a ton of amazing candids of us, our friends and our family. Her strength in the photojournalistic style really comes through and we've given so many beautiful pictures to our friends and family that capture them and/or us in a great moment. Looking at the photos transports me back to the day and you can feel the love and happiness in them. Pre-wedding she was excellent to work with and incredibly efficient and responsive. Post-wedding we got the photos via a website really easily and it was a great site to both share with people and download all the photos ourselves. I appreciated getting the web res w/ her watermark for social media and the high res digital files for us to make reproductions. I would highly recommend her.

We are so happy we hired Leah to be our wedding photographer! Choosing a photographer was an important decision for us, since we cared a lot about having beautiful, timeless photos that we could show off to our families. We met with a couple different photographers before making our decision, and we were impressed with the quality of Leah’s work. The gorgeous photos on her blog gave us a good idea of what to expect, and we were not disappointed! We’ve been getting constant compliments from friends and relatives on how good the photos look.

We first did an engagement session with Leah a few months before our wedding, and we’re glad we did! Neither of us are very comfortable on camera, but after the engagement session, we were much more at ease. On the day of the wedding, Leah and her assistant took lots of lovely posed photos of us with our wedding party, paying lots of attention to detail. They also took many more amazing candid photos throughout our ceremony and reception. We still look at the photos and wonder how they managed to be in so many places at once! Leah was also professional, responsive, and easy to get along with, which made the whole wedding planning process much less stressful.

Another great thing about working with Leah is how quickly you get your photos! A comment we got from one of our married friends was "wow, your photographer works fast!” It was so nice to enjoy our wedding photos while our memories of the day were still fresh in our minds.

My husband and I have spent hours and hours looking through our wedding photos, having the most fabulous time! Laughing and crying and then laughing again.

Leah, we truly cannot thank you enough. Your personality and fun energy you added to our wedding day was most important to us - getting to share the day with you, rather than just having you there. I think this value-added you evoke in your passion for your job is truly admirable. You are professional and fun at the same time, which is what we really love about you!

Endless thank yous for sharing your talent with us and for making our wedding day worry-free. The photos are a perfectly balanced mixture of posed keepsakes and intimate candid moments. It is clear that you truly love what you do.

This sounds crazy, but I actually, physically pinched myself while looking at our wedding photos, because I couldn't believe that they were real, and mine forever. Brava, Leah!

Leah was AMAIZING from day 1 until the wedding !! She did our engagement shoot which was just a little tease to what the big day would offer ! We got nothing but compliments re those pics . Our communications with her was nothing but professional & always heard back w/in 12hrs. Leah and her assistant did what we wanted the day of the wedding & were so helpful when I got stressed (bride) she knew how to "regroup" and knew when to take a break! She defiantly k owns how to work the crowed w/out being "in your face" . Everyone LOVED HER ....We already referrered her to a family friend for their upcoming wedding .

Leah is absolutely amazing! We booked her for our upcoming wedding in October 2015 and just took our engagement pictures with her. Her work is stunning and she was so wonderful to work with. My fiance is camera shy and even he felt comfortable with her. As an added bonus, she includes an engagement session with all of her packages. I'm so pleased we were able to book her.

Leah was awesome! From the first moment I met her in her awesome studio to my wedding day! She was extremely personable, professional, and on time! She was very flexible with dates for engagement photos, she had great advice, and her work is incredible. We got our pictures back very quickly and have received so many compliments! I would recommend Leah to everyone! Definitely worth every penny!

If I could have rated her a 10/10 I would have! I could not be more pleased, more grateful, or more excited about my wedding photos. We have the most beautiful pictures one could ever want of their wedding day (and it rained sideways on our wedding day!).

Leah and her second shooter Shawn were professional, cool, calm and collected even when the timeline went out the window, we had to take wedding party pictures in a bedroom, and I asked her to take our bride & groom pictures outside in the rain!

Working with Leah was one of the easiest parts of planning my wedding and I would recommend her 100 times over.
