Kurt Nielsen Photography was established in 1997 after eleven years of working as a portrait photographer at different photography chain stores. Kurt specializes in engagement, wedding, maternity and baby, children and family, and high school senior portraits. Kurt also photographs many special events and local business for their office portraits, advertisements and promotions.
Giving back to the community is something Kurt takes very seriously and has been involved with many local and national charitable organizations including but not limited to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio, The American Heart Association Go Red Campaign and The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio.
Kurt’s ever-changing innovative sets, his tremendous knowledge of in studio and on location photography along with his creative style and mastery of digital artistry have made Kurt Nielsen one of the area’s foremost premiere photographers.
In 2009, Kurt expanded his photography business to include Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes, a green screen photo booth. This is different than the traditional photo booths because you have your picture taken in front of a green screen, much like the weathermen and movie industry uses. Once the picture is taken, we use computer software to remove the green background and replace it with an image of your choice, making you and your guests appear to be in another place.
For example, we took Kurt's Kustom Keepsake to a fundraiser at our local ice skating rink. The host chose to have a NHL arena as a background. A very famous former NHL player made a surprise guest appearance at this fundraiser and allowed guests to have their picture taken with him in front of the green screen. We then "dropped in" the arena background, and the final picture looked like the guests were at the NHL arena with the professional hockey player! It was a chance in a lifetime moment captured by Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes and raised a tremendous amount of money for the cause.
Obviously, that is just one example and was a fundraiser. But, we can use Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes in place of the boring dollar dance, as a gift for the bride or groom, or any reason that you may want. We can also print 4" x 6" prints on the spot for your guests to take home as a party favor. We can create any background that you want or use an image that you already have. Plus, you will receive all of the images that were created at your event on a disk. The possibilities are endless and everyone always has a blast.
