Based in Sylvania, Ohio, McKiddy Cakes is a home bakery business. Owner Jessica McKiddy has been baking for over 28 years. In the year 2016, she turned her dedicated practice into a successful business endeavor and opened McKiddy Cakes. This decision was made following a transition away from sales and marketing. In a happy and fortuitous circumstance involving excess treats to give away, Jessica gained a local fanbase for her desserts. From there, requests started rolling in and Jessica took the leap to start a Licensed Ohio Home Bakery.

Beautiful & Delicious Wedding Cake & Sweets Table
Jessica was lovely and did a fantastic job. We loved her cakes (it was hard to pick flavors for our cake because there were just too many great ones when we were tasting!) Our absolute favorite was her strawberry cake. We showed her our Pinterest ideas for our cake and she brought it to life perfectly and worked with our florist so that real flowers could decorate the cake as well. We also had a sweets bar with treats made by her. Our guests devoured them before we even had a chance to so I'd say that they were very popular! (And we know they were scrumptious from our own tastings prior!)

Yummy desserts
Jessica was so nice! She made sure we had everything we had wanted and helped create our dream into a reality. She made mini pies to go with our pi themed wedding and everyone loved them! Everything was delicious and beautiful! We found out that one of our guests had a gluten allergy, and she was happy to add on a gluten free torte to accommodate our need. We highly recommend McKiddy cakes!

Highly Recommend
I expected to do a chocolate cake but after trying her snickerdoodle it was over! So many compliments on all our cupcakes as well. Thank you so much!

Delicious wedding cake and cupcakes!
McKiddy Cakes was amazing to work with. We enjoyed meeting with her to discuss our vision and what we were thinking of for our cake and she had photos and even life-size displays to show us for example that we could get a better idea of sizes and what we were looking for. Out of all of the different bakeries we taste tested we felt that hers was the most flavorful and we loved that she used natural ingredients and made her baked goods from scratch. We ended up getting cupcakes and a small wedding cake and we love the different flavors she offered for the cupcakes. Each one was unique and our guests love them. We would definitely recommend her services for cakes and cookies!

15 Year Anniversary Party
Wow, the cupcakes were delicious, so fresh, and loved by all the guest at our 15 year anniversary party. Jessica is wonderful and talented. It was extra special for us, because we finally got the cake and cupcakes that we really wanted, but couldn't afford at our wedding.
We can't wait to order more cupcakes and cakes in the future as we continue to celebrate upcoming events.

Wedding Cupcakes/Cake
We used McKiddy Cakes for our wedding and everything worked out perfect! The mini cupcakes were the perfect choice for us and it was reasonably priced. I believe she had 3/4 other events to do the same day as our wedding and I (the bride) was not contacted a single time during the day, which I greatly appreciated. She worked seamlessly with our venue to set up and the desserts table was beautiful! The cupcakes were also SO tasty. She also set aside a flavor of each for us to take home, which I thought was so thoughtful since our day was so busy. I woudl highly recommend Mckiddy Cakes for any future events for desserts.

Delicious Cake
I am so glad we found McKiddy cakes. My husband and I attended a wedding day at Nazareth Hall and tried SO many cakes- NONE COMPARED TO THIS. Jessica’s cakes were beyond moist, she has an AMAZING frosting, and a plethora of flavors to choose from!!! We were BEYOND impressed with how our display turned out. The cake and cupcakes were a huge hit!! Every single one was eaten!! We did have a small communication hiccup (my fault), but she made sure everything was correct, contracts were signed, quantities were finalized, and made a beautiful display for us. I absolutely LOVE supporting small, local, businesses. You can tell she pours her heart into her business and has a true passion for baking.
