Jon was a super sweet guy and so lovely to work with, but overall we were not happy with the quality of the photos he took at our wedding. A little bit of moving people around would really have helped in the posed photos (why is Uncle Bob half-hidden behind Grandpa?), and the action shots just weren't at the level of quality I would have expected from a professional photographer. With that said, Jon did get a handful of really gorgeous wedding photos--his eye for backgrounds, textures, and light must serve him well as a fine art photographer. Perhaps he's new to event photography; corraling people for portraits and capturing memorable moments amidst crowds demand some different /additional skills to those you learn in art school; I can imagine that his natural gifts will help him get better with time.
