Jay’s photography career began with a focus on sports action photography and photojournalism news coverage. His work has been published in a variety of national publications including Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, The Sporting News, and USA Today.

Despite having the privilege of constant travel, meeting and photographing interesting and dynamic figures, and a front-row seat at some of the biggest sporting events in the country, Jay’s work has now taken on a new path, applying that same passion and energy towards documenting the intimate beauty and connections of your wedding day.

Whether it’s the nervous anticipation between a bride and her father before the ceremony, the overwhelming joy of a groom seeing his bride for the first time, or the euphoria and energy of the reception, they are all fleeting and spontaneous moments which Jay gives a life of their own through his hybrid style of documentary coverage combined with artistic, contemportary, natural looking portraiture.

Jay and his wife Amy live in the Chicago suburbs with their son, Jack, and their dog, Otis.
