Additional Answers & Advice:
How do you charge for DJ entertainment services?
Standard hourly rate is charged for performance time.  No charges for setup, breakdown, or travel times.
Special services are available at additional charges.

How loud will the music and announcements be?
Volume levels are continuously monitored during the reception.  Guests will able to comfortably converse with each other with the music in the background.  In practice, music volume levels will be increased for dancing as compared to dinner or cocktail music. The wireless microphone levels for toasts will be monitored, so that every guest will be able to clearly hear every important word.

Do you work alone?
No.  Dr. D.J. works with an assistant DJ/MC with whom he will consult for real-time music programming.  Weddings are multi-generational events with usually a diverse audience.  It is our goal to ensure that all guests will have the opportunity to listen/dance to music that they enjoy.  Song requests are encouraged and welcomed, but of course we cannot guarantee that every song is available.

Select a DJ with whom you can easily communicate.  Your guests will remember the entertainment and whether they had a good time at your wedding for many years.  Your ideal DJ will provide MC and entertainment services that fit your vision of the atmosphere of your reception.  This is achieved through extensive planning and discussion concerning entertainment options.
Your choice of music will set the mood for your reception.  Many couples prefer a sophisticated mood with good fun for all the guests.  The wedding reception is often the first time that the families of the bride and groom will be socially united.

Beware of unethical wedding vendors.  Get to know your DJ personally, and don't provide any deposit money until you have a signed contract.  See Fox 5 News TV's report on wedding DJ scams.
