History
This property has witnessed over 4,000 years of human history. A shell midden was found on the property, believed to date back to 2,000 B.C.E. and to have been created by the Tequesta people. In 1920, Frederic Clay Bartlett established Bonnet House. The artist, who was born in Chicago, received the oceanfront property from his father-in-law when he married Helen Louise Birch. Now, the estate functions as a museum devoted to promoting creativity, and learning, as well as historical and environmental preservation. The grounds of the estate are also among the last south-Florida native barrier island habitats. It features five ecosystems, another example of its relevance.

Continental Brass played at a wedding reception on 1/16/2016 at Bonnet House. The historical venue was beautiful. The staff were very cooperative and helpful to the band and we are looking forward to playing there again soon :)
