We loved working with Danny and his team. Danny did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. He's so professional, but also super friendly and easy to get along with. We picked him originally because his editing style is super unique and beautiful, but we found that his personality is another bonus we discovered.
The reason why you should definitely pick Danny for your photos is: 1. It's actually really important to have a photographer who knows how to set you up for good shots that are also candid looking. Danny gives really great direction and is able to guide the whole bridal party into cute poses that look great in the photos. 2. Danny is also really fun, he does this thing where he makes hilarious comments and is just constantly laughing/chuckling, which makes everyone in the photos laugh as well. This results in super candid photos that looks great. 3. Danny works really hard for you! Our first dance was really animated and some of our friends were taking video and you could see Danny and his second shooter sprinting across the room to try to get the best shots. 4. Danny's editing skills are super unique. When we were looking at photos from other photographers, they all started to blur together and the styles all felt really similar. Danny's photos definitely stand out. He's really great at taking a whole bunch of styles of photos (zoomed in, zoomed out, dramatic, sweet, etc.) and then his editing style is so clean, clear, and beautiful. He really has a good eye for photography and photo editing.
We really love Danny and highly recommend you to pick him to be your photographer. We will definitely pick him for any future occasions that we have!

Before our wedding, Danny spent time to went through the wedding day timeline, photo tools we need, lighting, and preferred photo style. He confirmed all the details before the wedding.
During my wedding (it was a full day). Danny & Julia spent each and every moment capturing my wedding details and a great guide on what I should do. (I'm a photo numb)
They captured numerous pictures and sent me everything. All photos, color corrected photos, well-edited photos were sent to me in a timely manner.
I love my photos!!!!

Danny and his wife are the best!

My wife first found Danny though seeing his work in person and upon seeing it myself, I completely agreed; this was the style we were looking for to capture our special moment. During these years that we've worked with Danny (our wedding had to be postponed due to the pandemic), Danny was extremely professional and went above and beyond to our expectations. Whenever we had a question, he would always answer promptly. It wasn't just prior to us choosing him, but more importantly after the fact we had signed the contract.

Danny is super understanding of the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the world to this day. We were extremely grateful that we were able to move our wedding to a new date with no additional cost.

On the day of the wedding and engagement shoots, he came prepare with poses and timing for the best photos. Though our wedding day ended up on a predominately over cast sky, he was able to improvise on the spot what new poses/locations to take photos. While we were saddened we didn't get the "golden hour shot" due to mother nature, we got something even better. We used my racecar as a prop and we got some really nice dramatic shots!

We would highly recommend Danny to anyone looking for a professional wedding photographer.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Danny and Julia went above and beyond for us to make my husband and I feel special on our wedding day. This was one of the best decisions we ever made choosing Danny Dong Photography for our intimate wedding.

Due to COVID - 19 we had to cancel our wedding in San Diego and were left scrambling to find what we could do to try and have it on the same day as planned. Originally, I reached out to Danny Dong when we were shopping for a photographer and I was sad to hear he was booked on the day we needed. Although, I let him know he was our first choice and if anything changed to please let us know. He called me right in time and let me know he had a cancellation that day and was able to shoot our wedding! This was our first time having professional photos done and they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Danny and Julia were so patient and accommodating especially with me being a late bride and needing to extend our time. Our pictures came out more beautiful than I could have ever hoped for!

A+ Photographer. Our wedding was about 10 months ago - and now that the dust has settled - the only memories of our special day are our pictures and videos. Danny was a pleasure to work with, on-time, professional and flexible with great attitude. He mastered outdoor venue, family portraits and indoor barn (little to no indoor lights) beautifully. Danny was the photographer for our wedding. We knew he was amazing from his work during and after my friends' wedding last summer. My friend's husband is an amateur (but serious) photographer, so we knew Danny Dong must be spectacular to have passed his extensive research on wedding photographers. During our various venue visits, one name also kept showing up consistently all over the Bay Area, and that was - you guessed it - Danny Dong.

Danny was very responsive prior to the wedding. On the day of, he arrived early and was just absolutely incredible throughout the long 9-hour session that we were fortunate enough to have him for. He was wonderful with my parents, my bridal party, and of course, us. He found the best lighting, the best angles, and the best spots at the venues for beautiful pictures. The time he spent putting into taking just shots of the wedding shoes and the rings really reinforced what we already knew about his professionalism and creativity.

My husband and I aren't exactly the kind that know much (or anything) about posing for photos, but Danny was patient, funny, and positive throughout the whole time. My friend's husband said it made his day during the reception because he got to sit Danny Dong, because he is just such a big deal (but oh so very nice, humble, and an absolute pleasure to work with).

I had my wedding on Chinese New Year. That being said Danny was even available on to work on that day!! Wow talk about professionalism. He was so nice and patient with all my wedding parties!!

I just saw my wedding photos and I cannot believe how nice those photos came out. I love how he is able to catch some perfect moments in our life. Like our ring exchange and first dance. Our photo shoots was very fun and relaxing.
