When she first picked up an old Nikon camera in 1998, Chelo discovered a passion for simple, elegant storytelling through pictures. Working as a professional photographer for more than seven years, her work brings to life the genuine emotion and small touches that make each family, each child, and each celebration so unique.

 

Chelo began photographing children in 2005, calling on her years of experience as a teacher in order to capture the joy, effervescence, and spirit of her often-rambunctious subjects. A few years later, a hunger to learn led her to enter the field of wedding photography, where her classic style, vibrant candids, and talent for unobtrusively catching couples in stolen moments soon generated enough word-of-mouth buzz to launch her career.

 

Since then, Chelo has built her reputation on capturing the emotion, intimacy, and personal connection that make up the soul of a wedding – and on telling the story of a bond that lasts. Her favorite assignments come years later, when former wedding clients call on her to photograph their children, bringing the story full circle.
