We start with a No-Obligation Complimentary Consultation Cafe Chat and through unlimited Emails, phone conversations, a personalized questionnaire, unlimited ceremony scripts, vow samples, rituals, cultural customs, and suggested ceremony readings, I will structure, organize and perform your ceremony with grace, dignity, clarity and warmth. I bring more than thirty years of experience offering a unique convergence of skills. I am a Celebrant Foundation Graduate, a published writer, university professor and theatre director. As your Celebrant I am your co – creator, resource person, encourager, and Legal Wedding Officiant. I create unique ceremonies not one-size-fits-all-city-hall-ceremonies. With each wedding that I write I draw upon my writing skills to crystallize your story, feelings and beliefs. My organizational skills as a director combine with my teaching skills creating an atmosphere of compassion. My vocal skills and command of language merge to beautifully express your heart, whether we are in front of three or three hundred guests. Your ceremony may include many elements. You may want to celebrate and explore, your personalities, the story of how you met, personalized wedding vows, shared dreams, rituals, readings, your shared and individual interests, you may want to honor children, family and friends. If you like, you can work with me to create memorable rituals into your ceremony that reflect your cultural backgrounds and family customs. How it Works

Some Steps We May Take to Create Your Brilliant Ceremony:

Pick and choose which ones works for you

You receive a no-obligation Complimentary Consultation. We explore the tone, style and content of your ceremony. What elements do you want to incorporate in your ceremony, how you want your guests and family to feel and how you want to include them in your ceremony.  I listen deeply to you what your wants and needs.

You have unlimited Email exchanges and phone calls. I supply unlimited ideas for vows, rituals, cultural customs, readings and ceremony structure; until you feel that you have exactly what you want. You receive a personalized questionnaire that I use to help craft your ceremony and tell your story.

I compile all the elements that you want in your ceremony into a first draft. These may include vows, readings, rituals, cultural customs, structure and timing. New ideas usually arise, if so, I edit - I work till I get every nuance and word exactly right but you are always in charge.

I write a second draft of your ceremony, nothing is ever left to improvisation. In fact, you will be provided with unlimited ceremony scripts, until we get your ceremony just the way you want it. I dedicate hours of time to editing of your ceremony.

I coordinate with all your vendors; - musicians, photographers, caterers and venue staff, addressing and organizing every aspect of the ceremony.

Once you approve the ceremony script I rehearse my delivery, making sure that your heart is expressed. I focus on the style you want, aiming for clarity, warmth, pace and structure. By Email or phone I make sure that all members of the wedding party know exactly what they are doing and if you like, I conduct a rehearsal.

On the day, I arrive one hour before your ceremony checking in with you and your partner, friends and family, I organize and meet with all vendors and staff, hand out cue sheets to your musicians, discuss key moments in your ceremony with photographers, Musicians are always pleased to receive a music cue sheet and photographers are grateful to learn about key moments. I connect with wedding party members and if we have not had a rehearsal, remind everyone of the order and elements of your ceremony. I post a processional cue sheet for wedding party members. The Marriage License is signed.

Your ceremony is performed with grace, dignity, clarity and warmth. I am there for you both, to guide you through your ceremony.  After the ceremony I take care of all legalities and I keep your records for up to seven years.

As a special gift I give you a beautifully bound copy of your Wedding Ceremony to cherish through the years.

At the core of my beliefs and values reside compassion and gratitude. I practice discernment rather than judgment. I honor and respect all beliefs and traditions, religious, spiritual or secular. I never use a ceremony as a platform to promote my personal beliefs but always strive to assist you in celebrating yours! I am committed to offering you the highest quality of service for your time and money. I am delighted to be considered as the Celebrant and Officiant for your ceremony. I married my husband Robert in England in 1995, in a ceremony celebrating our different cultural identities. Robert and I now live in NYC and the Hudson Valley and love to laugh.
