Boombos Bros. DJs was established in 2005 by popular nightclub DJ and promoter, Curtis Rock.  Curtis Rock, a born music fanatic, was put off by cheesy DJ performances at special events and felt that a more serious, cool, and trendy approach would be more suitable. Since its beginning, Boombox Bros. sought out to create new trends in South Texas by providing class act DJs who bring nightclub quality mixing, emceeing, and performances into special events while keeping it classy and trendy.  As a result, Boombox Bros. has become one of the most sought after DJ agencies for Weddings, Proms, Sweet 16s, high fashion events, and other special occasions.

In 2010, The Knot Magazine named Boombox Bros. in their "Best Of Wedding DJs" listing for South Texas, which includes the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi area.  The listing included 5 DJ companies, 4 were in San Antonio and Boombox Bros. out of Corpus Christi.  Also, in 2011, the prestigious Scratch Music Group out of New York City, which includes Scratch DJ Academy, Scratch Events, and Scratch Weddings, began including Boombox Bros. on their talent roster for high fashion Clients such as Ann Taylor LOFT and Steve Madden.
