We met Derek at the open house at our venue in January 2022. We loved his energy and the vibe he was giving off. He and my husband also got along and joked around like they were old friends. We didn't book them right away because they were a bit more than we intended to pay but were also in the very early stages of planning and booking vendors. We kept researching DJs over the course of our planning process and ended up meeting with them and one other company. We liked the other company as well but for only a few hundred more we could book Lumen Events and get both DJ and MC vs one person who had to double as both DJ and MC. But better yet, they gave a pay in full discount which made it almost the same price. I am so happy we had Derek and Xavier at our wedding. They were nothing but wonderful. Derek knew how to work the crowd and keep the party going. Xavier's ability to keep the music flowing seamlessly was perfect. They were worth every penny. -
