Two years later we are still reeling from an awesome night

Bottom line up front: Lumen Entertainment and Bryan in particular are stellar, utmost professionals, and choosing them was the best investment into the night of our wedding that we could have asked for.

In 2022 we had an amazing experience with Bryan (MC) and Xavier (DJ) for our wedding event in Boerne. We have a few stories.. First, we had planned to speak with several DJ/production companies during the planning phase and our wedding planner suggested Lumen because she had just recently worked with them and it was a great experience. After the first meeting with them we were convinced by Bryan that it would be a good fit and decided to go with them right away. Fast-forward to wedding day and we were so glad we did. Not only can Bryan and company talk the talk during the consultation period, but they deliver on everything they promised, and all the way through they maintained responsiveness and professionalism. So many people mentioned that it was the best-run wedding dance party they had been to and we were even blown away by how much energy Bryan and Xavier brought to the event, and how much energy they drew out of our guests.

We had a few "special requests" of Bryan during our event. We had a live musician playing our lead-up to the ceremony and I also planned a serenade during the reception. Bryan answered all of our A/V questions and saw to it that they were met. We also had some cultural dances that not every MC would know how to manage, and Bryan ran it perfectly and asked all the right questions about how to do it. Everything went off without a hitch and there was never any question that A/V wouldn't be covered.

Last story which speaks volumes about who Lumen Events is as a company and who Bryan is as a person -- our wedding arch broke due to wind shortly before our event and Bryan was nearby setting up A/V along with some of our friends helping out. Without hesitation Bryan saw the crisis and stepped in --> apparently he doesn't travel anywhere without his tools and he repaired the arch with the help of our friends finding some wood to replace the broken pieces. We were none the wiser until our friends told us post-ceremony -- this speaks volumes of Bryan's humble character and the ownership he takes over events he is a part of. He truly went above and beyond, and the fact that he did not make a big deal of his deed also shows that while his charisma can truly command a crowd, he doesn't center the spotlight on himself. He gives everything he can to the event and uses his talent to raise others up and I think that's am amazing quality to have as an MC.

For practical matters -- the song request system is simple enough to use and while it doesn't catalog every song it was easy to request songs not included in the database. The songs we/the guests wanted to hear were all played and Xavier did a great job of including other songs that fit our tastes and made the genres flow into each other very well through the night.

We couldn't be more grateful to Bryan and his team, and we are still reeling from how awesome he helped make our wedding day.

Simply amazing!

We met Derek at the open house at our venue in January 2022. We loved his energy and the vibe he was giving off. He and my husband also got along and joked around like they were old friends. We didn't book them right away because they were a bit more than we intended to pay but were also in the very early stages of planning and booking vendors. We kept researching DJs over the course of our planning process and ended up meeting with them and one other company. We liked the other company as well but for only a few hundred more we could book Lumen Events and get both DJ and MC vs one person who had to double as both DJ and MC. But better yet, they gave a pay in full discount which made it almost the same price. I am so happy we had Derek and Xavier at our wedding. They were nothing but wonderful. Derek knew how to work the crowd and keep the party going. Xavier's ability to keep the music flowing seamlessly was perfect. They were worth every penny.

Lumen Events was the talk of my wedding!

Lumen events was amazing on my wedding! Brian the MC and the DJ did a great job and all my guests commented on the fun night they created! They got everyone dancing and played all the songs that were important to my husband and I. We were a Covid couple and moved our date and Lumen was so accommodating and understanding. One of the most memorable moments of the night was after the last song and Brian the MC had all our friends and family make a circle around us wished us the best and had everyone say we " love you!". That moment meant so much to us because it was a long journey to our wedding! We will always be grateful!

Best DJ and event services around!

Brian and his team know how to get a party started! Any big event we have, we call Lumen! He’s been doing our quinces and family events for years, and we were so excited to have him dj our wedding. He knows how to keep the crowed engaged and on the dance floor all night! The whole team is super professional and on top of their game to make sure that the event is perfect!

Lumen events did a wonderful job at my wedding! Bryan our MC really got our guest out on the dance floor by being interactive and making sure everyone had a great time! Kept the party going!!

Lumen had an incredible set-up and they were so good about keeping the party going! The MC was hilarious and everybody loved the song options and transitions. The photobooth was amazing and people loved it! The backdrop and lighting looked so nice and we loved seeing the fun pictures people took. Tania was also so lovely to work with and she really took a lot of care to make sure we had a wonderful wedding. Thanks so much Tania!

April 2021 Wedding -Best Ever

My wife and I recently got married in San Antonio on April 18th. Our wedding was pushed back a year due to the pandemic, however Lumen Events was one of the first to reach out, and assist with rescheduling. All of our guests who attended said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended. The DJ & MC did a great job playing to the audience to get people on the dance floor.

Amazing event team!

Brian and team were amazing! The DJ/MC service is an integral part of any wedding and they absolutely nailed it. Reid helped us coordinate every aspect and even gave us ideas for parts where we were uncertain. The day of the wedding they executed to perfection... with the DJ and Brian as the MC they made the reception a lively, welcoming environment that was fun and enjoyable. They had the guests involved and enjoying themselves. Highly recommend these amazing folks!!

Brought the party!

Wedding Party!

My husband and I recently got married and we absolutely loved all of the vendors that were there to make our special day exactly what he had dreamed it would be. Lumen events really knows how to get the party going. We loved that we had a dj and mc. Our music was very eclectic, and lumen events were able to keep the music going with people constantly on the floor. I also liked that we were able to get accent lighting through them as well. Communicating with their staff was easy and they were constantly in communication to make sure they had a good idea of the crowd they were playing to.

Phenomenal

We hired Lumen events for lighting and DJ for our wedding ceremony, cocktail, and reception. The lighting set up made everything so beautiful and really helped kick up the night if dancing. Wedding Nov 2019

We had a wonderful experience with Lumen Events, Brian and his team are true professionals. We hired them for our wedding. We met with Brian and his team two times before our wedding. Our first meeting with him was amazing, he was super detailed and friendly, the second meeting was with one of his associates, who was also very professional and friendly. The software they use to coordinate song choices is super easy to use. On the day of the wedding, they delivered what they promised, A PARTY! I mean, Brian had people dancing who I had never seen dance before. He led our guests into keeping the party going! I highly recommend Lumen Events, you will not be disappointed.

Could Not Have Asked For Anything More

I hired Lumen Events to DJ for my wedding. I first met Bryan at a vendor open house and through our initial conversation I knew Bryan and his team could bring the entertainment my wife and I were looking for. Bryan and his team were professional and extremely helpful in their tips and recommendations. Reid, the Operations Manager, had excellent suggestions for audio and lighting. During the reception Bryan got everyone excited to be on the dance floor. Lastly, the DJ took our song requests and played a flawless reception. He did a great job to make sure each song transitioned smoothly to the next. The whole Lumen Events team did a marvelous job. All the guests had a blast and were saying how sore they were the next day from all the dancing they were doing. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for DJ services.

Best DJ/MC ever!!!

Working with Lumen Events for mine and my husband's wedding was incredible. Bryan helped us in our quote process to figure out exactly what package we wanted and he perfectly understood the kind of music that we wanted played at our wedding. We met with Reid to finalize our music choices for our big moments as well as our dancing music and we had the option of a "do not play" list which was great for keeping some family members from getting too crazy with the music! The day of we had Derek as out MC and he did an amazing job keeping the party going! The music was a perfect combination for our crowd and all of the right songs were played for all of our big moments during the ceremony and reception. I will definitely recommend Lumen events to friends and family

Entertainers

Lumen Event was recommended by couple of my co-workers. My wife and I met with Bryan, owner, to see if they’d be the right fit for us. From the beginning, Bryan took the time to get to know us and our story. He asked us what is important for us as far as how we wanted the mood of the night to be and how we wanted our guests to feel. We wanted entertainment and for people to be laughing, dancing, and having one of the best nights of their life. Bryan was our MC for the night and Henry was the DJ. They brought their A plus game and they exceeded our expectation. He catered the music selection to our likings. Our guests loved Bryan and the entertainment that they provided. I had a lot of people come up to us saying that this was one of the best nights that they have had in a long time. Bryan’s energy and passion makes him very good at what he does. He invited our guests to the dance floor and encouraged them to dance. At times he led us in some of the dances and taught us new dance choreography. Bryan attracts people to the dance floor and his energy just makes you want to get up and dance. I cannot say enough great things about Lumen Event and what they brought to the table. We will most definitely recommend them to all our friends and family and would hire them again in the future for any event.

Best dj ever - hands down!

Bryan and his team were WONDERFUL! His staff member Valeria was super responsive, the Operations Manager Reid was great at helping us pick lighting and build our Wedding timeline. And of course DJ Sai, Bryan as MC, and Carlos (Guest MC) were all the best people! We had such a blast! This is by far the most professional DJ I have ever worked with. They made our Wedding night better then we could have ever imagined! Granted, my family was a little shy at first but Bryan was able to make people feel involved and get them out on the dance floor! Also, the fact that they have meetings prior to your big day is AMAZING and super helpful. You can truly feel the care and love they put into each client, no wonder they are listed as Number 1 in San Antonio! If you are looking for a DJ and MC for your wedding look no further! I seriously hit the jack pot when i booked Lumen for my wedding. Every interaction I had with them was pleasant and they made me feel so comfortable with the entire process. I sent them a list of what i wanted to hear and they did not disappoint. Lumen Events did a great job all around. Brian was the MC and the gentleman I met with originally. Very nice, really made me feel at ease about handling everything. Valeria assisted with keeping in contact in the months leading up to the wedding. Her responses were quick and helpful. Henry was the DJ. Met him briefly during the wedding but he kept the music flowing and Brian kept the party going. Great job guys. Very pleased, well worth the price.

We hired Lumen Events for our daughter’s quinceañera on November 18 and are so happy with the service we received! We are still receiving a lot of compliments from family and friends!The package we chose came with both a DJ and MC (Bryan) , and they were both awesome! They always kept our guests dancing and made sure everyone was having fun!! Our MC was bilingual so we appreciated that a lot too! The DJ created a custom surprise dance song for us ! They were extremely professional and skilled at what they do, and Valeria was always very professional and helpful .We would recommend Lumen over and over again! HIGHLY recommend! The wife and I wanted to ease the stress of our wedding dance floor ever being bare so we definitely wanted an MC to help with that. Bryan, the MC, did not disappoint! Bryan was extremely professional and fantastic. The DJ had the music flowing and their transitions were flawless. Our music taste is all over the place and they somehow made country, tejano, cumbias, hip hop/rap, etc..., flow seamlessly. Everyone loved how Bryan set the tone from the opening song and throughout the night. Worth every penny in my mind.

I hired them for my daughter's 15th birthday party. It was absolutely the best decision I made. The MC Ricardo and DJ Henry did a Superb Job; both of them are Professional, Patient, Friendly, Knowledgeable. They worked with me making sure everything was perfect and to my satisfaction by coordinated everything with me and provided suggestion about order of event and time lines. I was behind providing the information they needed (music list and event program), but they worked with me without complaints and always 100% professionals and polite. Valeria and Tania at the office were also great!. At first I though the price was high, but once I saw what they offered and the level of professionalism in which the MC and DJ handle themselves I saw that it is worth the price. I have no regrets and will pay it again without hesitation.

They always kept our guests dancing and made sure everyone was having fun!! They allow you to make your own "priority" playlist online where you can make sure certain songs get played, and certain ones don't. Our MC was bilingual so we appreciated that a lot too! There's just not enough space to rave about LUMEN! We had the opportunity to work with Lumen for over a year prior to our wedding! We first met Melvin at a wedding expo and booked them immediately and we just knew we had to have them! throughout the entire planning process, the entire staff was so professional and personable and we shared some really great laughs prior to the wedding! Tania was an absolute pleasure to be around when it came to getting all the fine details together, from our timelines, walkthroughs at the venue to our back and forth texts about getting songs personalized down to the exact second we needed them queued at. Melvin and our DJ brought the party to the life day of! Melvin with his infectious personality and crazy dancemoves were definatley a crowd pleaser! EVERYONE wanted to dance with him and had so much fun on the dancefloor! our DJ just read the crowd all night and played amazing selections to keep our guests on the floor! When we started this journey of planning our wedding, we hoped for vendors that would understand our vision and help bring it to life and that's exactly what we got with LUMEN...plus we've made some new friends as well! Thank you guys for everything!

Lumen Events will make your event utterly UNFORGETTABLE. They are so much more than just the music. They set the mood with just the right type of lighting, timing which keeps everything as well as everybody moving. I enjoyed the planning process because I would contact Tania with an idea or a question and she would meet with me to review; her suggestions developed my ideas into reality. Lumen has expertise in every facet of the planning and if it is not immediately within their area then chances are they know who to refer you to. The DJ and the emcee know how to read the guests and can change it up on the fly if needed. I have been to several parties in the past which were in lovely venues, food was fine but the atmosphere was lacking. Lumen takes ordinary and transforms it into EXTRAORDINARY. They are a very high value and well worth the cost for throwing the party to remember.

We have used Lumen for two very important events and I can't say how special they made my girls feel. They are absolutely amazing!!! I have worked with Lumen for two events now and they are amazing!! Professionalism is huge for them! They are the experts when it comes to their field! They will transform your whole event and Bryan has the crowd on their feet the entire night!! The lighting will make your venue a complete fairytale and the dj booth(set ups) will have your guests in awe! They are worth every penny you will spend and it truly is an investment for your event but this will be what your guests are truly going to remember! I promise because two years after our wedding I still hear people talking about the music and how awesome Bryan was! They are one of a kind!

Derek and Cameron were phenomenal and very entertaining to our guest! Everyone who attended is still asking who the DJ services was, and our event was the talk of the town! Melvin and Cameron with Lumen events did a FANTASTIC job at our wedding on 10-24-15!!! :).....they are AWESOME!! We all had a blast, both were always so attentive and on point to keep us in check with our timeline for the night. We worked with Melvin throughout the planning stages until the end of our wedding reception. He was our MC for the night as well, always professional, flexible, fun/energetic and easy to work with!! Cameron was a great DJ! professional, always enthusiastic and so accommodating to song requests! Even choosing a mother and son "song" we were blank, they came to the rescue! Both made the perfect combo to get everyone have a good time on the dance floor!
I have worked with Lumen Events in the past with different clients other weddings, but this time I was on the other side as a bride...Steven and I needed a DJ for our own special day..didn't think about it twice...we could not have made a better decision!! We kept getting great comments throughout the night.

I hired Lumen Events for my wedding and was so impressed! They went above and beyond to make my special day amazing! Cary was amazing and he was so much fun! He really kept the guest entertained and dancing! Jamal was awesome and played great music all night! I could not have asked for a better team. I forgot to print out the poem I was going to be reciting and Cary actually found it online and wrote it out for me. Several guests approached me to let me know how impressed they were as well. They were great and I would highly recommend!

Lumen Events was amazing! From the time I called them for quotes until the very last minute of our wedding they were attentive and provided the best services available. Melvin was out emcee and Cameron was our DJ and they were amazing. The dance floor was never empty. Our guests loved the games we played during the reception and the interaction with Melvin was so much fun. Our guests were quite diverse so my husband and I wanted a well rounded playlist and Lumen delivered... They played everything from hip hop, pop, reggeaton, Latin, Mexican pop, and country. Our guests are still raving about the entertainment til this day. We had so much fun at our wedding and would definitely recommend them for your next event.

We found Lumen Events through our wedding planner and they were amazing! MC Derek and DJ Paul kept the party going and it was nonstop fun. We had a very diverse crowd at our wedding in age and from different places and Our DJ and MC were able to keep everyone entertained and on the dance floor. They also provided lighting and a monogram for the center of our dance floor and everything went smooth. The only thing that I would have done differently is how we chose songs. They use an online system to help choose songs you want (like your first song etc), but I got wrapped up picking songs to play for the whole wedding. Just talk with your DJ, have faith in them, and don't spend too much time on their online system.

Lumen provided DJ and MC services for our wedding reception in November 2015 and we could not have been happier! Bryan, Melvin and Jamal were incredibly helpful, responsive and professional. They were so kind to change their holiday personal plans to accommodate to my wedding, so Melvin could be the MC after I forgot to request him! I am so glad I chose them, I want to do it all over again just to be able to spend more time dancing and having a great time with them. Everyone at my wedding complimented me on the DJ and MC. I met with Melvin early on and he was always professional, sweet, a good listener. We had everything planned out for my wedding and when it came down to choosing music and taking care of the fine details, my now hubby and I were not fully prepared with music selections, even though Lumens had emailed us way in advance. Melvin never expressed any sense of frustration or annoyance...he just asked that we get the music selected as soon as possible (we were only days from the big day), and was just cool about it. I REALLY appreciated that as we were under a lot of wedding prep stress, so thank you, Melvin! Melvin was going to be our MC, and I wanted him specifically because I wanted a Spanish/English speaker. Everything was great up until a day or two before the wedding when I learned that Melvin had a family emergency our of town and wouldn't be able to cover the wedding. He assured me that we were in good hands with the person taking over, Derek, and I actually felt very at ease about it. Good thing, because he was right. The day of the wedding, our photographer had us taking pictures at our beautiful venue..kind of far from the eating and dancing area. I noticed a gentleman walking towards us and waited patiently without saying a word, until he perfectly timed his greeting. He was extremely professional in the way he looked, carried himself, and spoke. He said he'd wait till we were done, and he did. When we finished he asked a few questions about the wedding party's names and other useful info he needed and assured me that he was going to do his very best. He was right! Although he didn't speak Spanish, it didn't take away from the wonderful job that he did that night. He got people up and dancing and joined in the fun...my husband and I LOVED it! We got many, many compliments about him and our DJ, Paul, who also received many compliments. The music, the ambiance, and everything about Lumens was a hit! You must hire them! We're still receiving compliments!

Our experience with this vendor was fantastic! Our coordinator Tania understood our needs and was flexible with any and every request we had from the timeline meeting through the day of our wedding! Our MC Robert and DJ were absolutely amazing!! The lighting, music style, and up-beat engertic atmosphere they brought to our wedding really engergized our guests! Robert even sang at our reception and it was beautiful!! They truly did exceed our expectations and brought great music and entertainment to our special day that will forever be a great memory to us. Even after our event, Bryan the head MC Manger, called to check and see how happy we were with their services. It was great to know they cared about their customers and the services they provided after the fact! I would recommend Lumen if you are looking for a wedding MC and DJ vendor any day!

We hired Lumen Events to do our daughters Quinceanera. They were great, they made the night a complete success. My daughter was so happy with the way our DJ Cameron played the music, and the attention Melvin our MC gave everyone. They had everyone on the dance floor. Melvin helped me so much through the night, keeping us on schedule and helping anyway he could. They give the personal touch to our party that really showed they cared about my daughters night. Lumen Events helped to make our daughter's wedding reception outstanding. Melvin Obregon provided an outstanding value in the wedding package that we purchased. Melvin & Cameron made an excellent team in the planning and preparation for our event. We appreciated their extra attention to details and surprises planned for the reception, and their enthusiasm in making it a fun and memorable time for all in attendance. Our guests were asked to send in song requests with their rsvp. The Lumen online music selection program is most impressive, with an area for comments, notes, or "shout outs" for those songs. Overall, we highly recommend Lumen Events, and will use them again in the future.

Melvin and Cameron truly made our wedding reception!!! Melvin was recommended to us by our wedding caterer/planner as she had worked with him previous weddings and saw how he kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night...Just as he did for our wedding as well! We are BIG on dancing and were in search of a DJ that provided great music, listened to our needs, and would be interactive with our guests. Lumen events provided this and so much more! Lumen Events made our reception so much fun!! Both of our families live out of state and our wedding was the first time they would be meeting, but everyone had a blast at the reception! Lumen Events had EVERYONE on the dance floor!! Even the first time we met with Cameron it was really enjoyable. We talked about what music we were interetsed in and lauged/joked about how the night would play out. One of the songs we joked about he played as the very first song for dinner, and immediately my husband and I looked at each other and laughed! Lumen Events is an extremely rare, exceptional team that can turn your event into an ethereal experience. Our company (Freedom Practice Coaching) has used Lumen Events for our annual corporate gala for the last several years, and every time they wow us with their ability to create precisely the aura and atmosphere we seek.

Beyond providing beautiful lighting, exceptional sound, amazing staging, and perfectly cool DJ and MC services, it is Lumen’s commitment to continually go above and beyond that set them apart from others. At our most recent gala, the hotel we were holding the event at scheduled a last minute conference in our space the afternoon prior to our event. We had requested very elaborate staging and lighting from Lumen, and the typical setup for such expectations would have traditionally taken 2 days. We were panicking. With the short turn-around time, our event looked like it was doomed for failure with the monstrosity we had commissioned Lumen to set up. Rather than complain or give up, Bryan and his team leader Reid, rallied their troops. It was cold and rainy, the coldest day of the year, 4 hours until the event, and they unloaded their custom-built stage piece by piece like a Spartan army, completely efficient and synchronized. Gustavo and Jesus did not stop working on assembly of the lights and stage, driven, seeing it as a challenge, not an inconvenience. Cameron (their DJ) was busy perfecting the sound quality, and Bryan was constantly pushing everyone to safely, but quickly make our event the dream we wanted it to be. And they did it!

You cannot buy passion like these guys have. And what is more rare is to find passion of this level from people that can deliver an exceptional quality. Usually “the best” have a certain air about them, a slightly boastful attitude. These guys are humble, they know they are the best, but they don’t say it, they show it, they demonstrate it for you, for your guests, with grace and fortitude.

Melvin was my MC and Jamal was the DJ for my wedding. Melvin was excellent from the day we met to go over our timeline. He was open to my ideas and brought in his own ideas. At the event, Melvin and the crew showed up early to set up and went above and beyond to make it the way I (the bride) wanted. During the reception, Jamal was great as the DJ. He played songs that kept me and my friends on the dance floor. Melvin was great. I got nothing but compliments from my guests about Melvin. If you are looking for the WOW factor Lumen is what you want. I was recently married on 3/7/2015 and used Lumen as my DJ. Being the guy all I really cared about was the DJ and making sure my guests were entertained. My biggest fear was being a wedding like I typically attend where no one dances. They just sit at the tables and look around. Lumen will guarantee you the party goes on the entire time.
Don't let the price intimidate you like it did for me at first, if I went back and the price was more I still would pay it, that's how awesome this company was. I had Bryan and Jamal at my wedding, these two were on point with everything I needed and asked for. All you need to do is describe and communicate what you are looking for and then let these guys do there job and maximize everything!

Lumen you guys are awesome! Bryan and Jamal, yall deserve all the raises and praises in the world!
I hope someone like me who is nervous about making the DJ choice comes across this post and sets an appointment with you guys! Trust me you will not be upset!

I had Lumen Events provide the entertainment for my wedding. I say entertainment, because hey provide more than just music. Depending on which package you purchase (which btw are all crazy affordable), you get a DJ with an MC and of course lighting. We also opted for the monogram (beautiful). My MC was Brian and Jamal was my DJ. There so great! From beginning to end Brian catered to every need, which is above and beyond for any other entertainment provider I know. He even volunteered to fetch Grenadine for my mom so she could have her tequila sunrise. Seriously. I signed the contract with them and put down my deposit in January for my December wedding. (They were booking fast.) The down payment was reasonable and they offered many variations of payment plans. All the staff is attentive to your needs and all of them take initiative to get to know you personally. Awesome crew! Mariluz & Tania did a great deal to help. They help you build a timeline that makes your event run super smooth even if there are bumps along the way. We were an hour late to our reception because the limo broke down and they managed to take care of things in our absence. Brian even helped bustle my dress. I found my DJ for life. I will NEVER go with anyone else.

I have had the honor of working with Lumen Events for two years now.
They have put on an absolute show both events for me, I work for a very demanding company that wants the best of the best in every form of their events and for the past two Februaries I have called Lumen events to come do what they do best for my company.
Put on a show and provide unmatched service in every single aspect of what they do.
From the set up crew Reid, Jesus and Gustavo putting together a beast of a truss and set up that should take all day long and doing it in a very short efficient time and making it look so seamless and smooth....and doing it with a smile on there face the entire time.
To the superman Cameron on the turn table keeping...DOCTORS that's right....uptight stressed doctors on the dance floor nonstop for 4 hours he is a one of a kind DJ.

If you want a party that everyone will be talking about, Lumen is who you want to hire! Lumen events and our emcee, Bryan, blew us away. We booked Lumen for our Uplighting, DJ and Emcee and they were worth every penny. From the time we booked till our big day, they stayed in constant communication with us. As the day approached we did a site visit as well as timeline meetings and they could not have done a better job at helping us along the way. The day of our reception Lumen worked extremely hard setting up our venue and making sure every detail was perfect. Once the reception started Bryan got in the zone and stayed there all night. Everyone we talked to could not stop raving about how good our DJ and Emcee were. We literally had people asking us for their information at our reception so that they could book them for their event. I cannot say enough good things about Lumen Events. I want to send a special shout out to Melvin as well for all of his hard work. Thanks to Byran, Melvin and everyone else at Lumen Events we have a lifetime of memories of an awesome reception. Eduardo, Jesus, and the whole Lumen Events team were simply amazing! The music was great and everyone danced the night away. The dance floor was full the whole night...I had never seen that before!! Melvin from Lumen was wonderful!!! He was able to make it very fun and entertaining for everyone, and he played all the songs we wanted as well as some others that got everyone dancing!! The lighting and sound was wonderful, and every part of our ceremony was perfection. They are worth every penny!

I can't say enough good things about this company! They were one of the best vendors at our wedding and completely made the night! From the beginning they were professional and organized. Our wedding had a couple of glitches but lumen events made our guests and us completely forget about it and dance the night away!
My guests are still raving about them! I would honestly look no further for a DJ company. They also worked extremely well with my other vendors!
I really can't say enough great things!

We used Lumen for our wedding and highly recommend their services. The uplighting and the set up was incredible and added another level to our event. The staff were incredibly easy to work with and so helpful every step of the way. We were able to customize our own playlist for the meal which was awesome and the music choices during the dance was perfect. Me and my wife's friends and family are not big dancers but Christian managed to fill the dance floor which really surprised us and was awesome. Thank you Lumen for making our event unforgettable.

Lumen Events has a lot to offer for your event. I was very impressed with their personal and on-line services for meeting my daughter's expectations and interests in music provided at her Sweet 16 party. We were able to meet with Lumen Events prior to the party to schedule the timing of different events during the party and arrange for the genres of music to be played during those events. The DJ was very professional and kept the party moving along. I highly recommend Lumen Events to anyone looking for a professional DJ and lighting equipment and service for any event.

Lumen is AWESOME!!! I had Cameron as DJ and Melvin as MC...they can really read a crowd! They had EVERYONE ( from 6 yrs-65 yrs) dancing ALL night!

The technology they use is super up to date and looks amazing! No wires or old school lights. ALL new and eye catching! Everyone at Lumen is VERY nice, helpful, and super professional.

They respond super fast to emails and helped me put together a mix for a surprise father-daughter dance. They kept working on it until it was 100% what I wanted.

My wedding was on May 31 at the Dominion and I HIGHLY recommend lumen for:
- eye catch appeal (up to date equipment)
- being able to read the audience (keeps them entertained and dancing all night)
- professionalism

Lumen did an amazing job at our wedding. Our MC was Bryan, and he was terrific. He was very easy to work with, and his schedule was extremely flexible... we don't live in San Antonio, so we always had to meet pretty late in the evenings after work, and he was 100% willing to meet with us whenever we were available. I think we would have been completely lost without Lumen on the day of the wedding. They did a great job keeping everything on schedule, and took a lot of stress off me (the bride). Everyone seemed to have a great time (even those who weren't on the dance floor) because they were able to read our guests so well and play music that they enjoyed. I will forever recommend Lumen to anyone I know getting married in San Antonio. Our experience couldn't have been any better.

Lumen Events was wonderful for our prom. Hands down the best DJ we have ever had come to our town.
The only comment I have for these guys (and please do not take this as a negative comment) is to listen closely to the person in charge. We asked for Country, Cumbia and dance music. I asked for it to be broken up; no more than 2 Cumbia back to back played every 30 minutes to an hour. When they saw most kids danced to Cumbia at one time they played 5 in a row. I asked to change to Country and it was hard to get them to change because kids were requesting Cumbia, but the other kids were not requesting Country. At one point our Country kids were about to leave and did leave early once Cumbia started again. Also I had to request that they stick to our Country song choices. I had considered just letting them play top 100 songs, but we did decide to do song choices. They played a few country songs not on the list so I asked them to stick to the list and they finally did.. Even in the end the Cumbia kids said they played too many Cumbia together. If and When y'all return to Junction for an event please know that we are 50/50 and half of the kids request. Try playing a few Country, then 2 Cumbia and a dance song. Split it up, please, to make everyone happy. I know it's hard to make EVERYONE happy; especially HS kiddos. Anyway, I know it's hard to please everyone, I just felt it was me against the kids requesting. Again, overall it was a wonderful experience and the students had a super time. Samson, Gustavo and Nicolas were awesome and I loved working with them. They really excite the kids.. They loved Nicolas getting out there and dancing with them.. They also loved the party package.. Thank you so much!!

Amazing job! Our DJ and MC met up with my husband and I prior to the wedding day and really listened to our wants and needs. DJ kept in contact with me about the music list and kept me updated on what he was doing. The MC was def the best one out there.. I got numerous compliments on how good he was and how he got everyone on the dance floor.. even my 80 year old grandma! Def worth the extra pay to have a MC! I would highly recommend this vendor, DJ Eduardo Serrano, and MC Brian!

Lumen Events was great to work with. Theydeliver everything that they promised and even went above and beyond by allowing us to book additional services at the last minute. The staff had a postive attitude and were professional. As an event planner, I have dealt with many different type of vendors over the years. Lumen Events were a joy to work with. Almost all my friends and visitors have a good comments on your music and the way you handle the type of events like this.I'm satisfied myself for all the lighting and the music. guest are dancing to the music in their sets not even in the dance floor. The DJ and MC made our wedding a hit! They kept everyone entertained and me on the dance floor all night long. They played songs that I love even though I did not give them a playlist beforehand...they were able to read the crowd and play songs that kept everyone dancing. The MC didn't only do announcements and introductions but he also did dance competitions and other fun and hilarious activities! The party pack is a must! The guests loved having hats, sunglasses, etc while on the dance floor. I would definitely recommend Lumen Events!!

These people got their stuff together, just make sure you give them a list of songs you would like to be played at your wedding. I wish I did but don't worry they offer that to you as well through an email. I wasn't to impress when I allow the DJ to play whatever but that was my mistake. But I had a great time at my wedding.. If you have any questions or need things to get done right away they will get the job done!!! I asked for a mix CD for our first dance and they got back to me quick. They were on time with the and on the annocuments. The DJ, host and manager were all porfessional. I was very please and got the crowed going.. I would use them again if I could do it all over again! LUMEN event has done an AMAZING job on our wedding. We selected the mid-pkg with DJ, lightning, MC, and singers. We requested a monogram as an extra from the main pkg. selected. Mariluz, the manager, was always courteous and attentive to every request we made. The DJ, Cameron, played exactly what we requested including last minute requests from some of our guests. The MC, Brian, entertain our guests with various dances including a dancing contest among three couples selected by us. Our guests were delighted by the female singers. We can't express in just a few words how professionally the service was delivered. As I been informed about weddings: your guests will remember your wedding by the amount of fun they had; this includes food, drinks, MUSIC and ENTERTAINMENT.

Our DJ and Master of Ceremonies did a great job at keeping our guest up, dancing, and having fun. The Master of Ceremonies would ask my husband and I if there was anything else we wanted played or needed done. They were on top of their entertainment from start to finish. Bryan did an amazing job with pulling in the togetherness of our wedding guests. Our guests went on and on about how great they all were and enjoyed how Bryan showed the steps to dances. Their professionalism added success to our beautiful wedding.
