Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
We currently to not have a commercial studio for client access. We work mainly from home with an off location editing suite utilized for post production.
What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
All of our packages include a two camera person crew used to create that cinematic feel for the short-form video. A short-form video is a video of the day that has been edited to fit within a time frame of 30-45 minutes in length. A good short form video will leverage elements of the cinematic style. Short form videos are optimal because they complement the cinematic form and provide the bride & groom with a final product that is artistic, intimate, and elegant, while remaining a pleasure to watch anytime with friends, family, or just with each other.
Describe any special editing services you offer:
We offer high quality 3D photmontages. The unique montages can presented on the wedding day as a growing up montage, love story video, or concept video.
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
We utilize low wattage unobtrusive on-camera lighting for receptions that are not well lit. We never utilize lights during a ceremony.
How many videographers do you work with?
The two primary videographers on our staff at Absolute Media Productions are the two owners and creative producers, Damon & Denise Dietz.
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
Yes.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes. Bearing an emergency or disaster that would prevent us from personally being at the event we would be there.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No we do not. We film a maximum of one wedding per weekend.
Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We bring all the basics, cameras, wireless microphones, tripod, etc. Some other useful equipment that we utilize that seperates us from most of the competition in the area include multiple wireless voice reorders, glidecam (for smooth motion gliding shots), and a variety of unique lenses including fisheye lenses.
Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
The one break mentioned above to eat is the only break taken during the day.
Do you charge overtime?
If the time will exceed what was originally determined in the service agreement, then an overtime fee will be assessed.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Raw Footage is an available enhancement that can be added to any package.
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for promotions, contents, etc.?
Yes. Most of our clients are honored if we utilize their footage for a contest, promotion, or advertising material.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
The bride & groom are not directly involved in the editing process. All information for the editing process is gathered before the wedding day. The extensive planning process includes multiple telephone consultations and conversations, and an extensive written planner, and the opportunity for the bride & groom to select music, determone style, and create the outline for the completed video. Once we have all of this information, the edit is done to custimize the video for each individual client without the clients' direct input during the actual edit.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
The average turnaround time for the completed video is 90 days.
