A Cleveland Bachelor Party Itinerary

From the best eateries to the trendiest hotels, our guide has everything you need to plan the perfect Cleveland bachelor party.

For the ultimate guys’ trip, head to the CLE. If you’re in charge of planning a Cleveland bachelor party, you can rest assured that there’s something for pretty much everyone to enjoy in this northeastern Ohio metropolis. From craft beer and sports to live music, outdoor activities, and an underrated yet totally impressive food scene, Cleveland has it all.

Here’s everything you need to know when planning your Cleveland bachelor party.

What to Do

Cleveland is a unique bachelor party destination in that it provides all the excitement of city nightlife while also allowing you to enjoy a bit of R&R when necessary, thanks to its location along Lake Erie. If you’re visiting in the summer, head to Edgewater Park where you can lounge on the beach, rent a pavilion, or go fishing for the day.

Any music fan will enjoy a trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which is located in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Here, you’ll have a chance to see rock 'n' roll artifacts like Elvis’ gold lamé suit, Michael Jackson’s sequined glove, and Ringo’s drum kit, just to name a few.

Looking to get your adrenaline pumping? Head to Cedar Point, the famous amusement park located on the shores of Lake Erie about an hour west of downtown Cleveland. With 18 roller coasters (including the tallest hybrid coaster in the world), a waterpark, live entertainment, and hotels on site, there’s more than enough to keep everyone busy.

For any sports fanatics in your Cleveland bachelor party group, there’s always something to do. Cleveland is home to three major sports teams: the Browns, the Cavaliers, and the Indians, not to mention all of their diehard fans who have a rep for being some of the most dedicated in the industry — for better or for worse. Grab tickets to a game for a casual night out or splurge on private seats for a memorable VIP experience. There’s also the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which is located about an hour south of Cleveland in Canton.

Where to Eat

Cleveland is filled with mouthwatering spots serving up a variety of bachelor party-approved dishes, with some of the most popular being pizza, pierogi, BBQ, tacos, and hot dogs.

If you want to treat your groom to a nice sit-down meal, start out at Lola Bistro. The menu at this carnivore’s paradise features mainly red meat dishes, including the chef’s signature beef pierogi, strip steak and braised lamb, with a few seafood options. For something more informal, check out the West Side Market, Cleveland’s historic marketplace with more than 100 different vendors — meaning there’s something for pretty much everyone. Here, you can grab a gyro, hot dog, falafel sandwich, or bratwurst.

Planning to be out late exploring Cleveland’s nightlife scene? You’ll need snacks to keep you going! Stop by Barrio in downtown’s Gateway District for tacos, queso, chorizo, and tequila. They’re open until 2 a.m. every night! Another option is TownHall, which has a special late-night menu (10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.) featuring truffle fries, chicken nachos, cheeseburgers, brownie sundaes, and vegan meals.

Wash everything down with a beer from Great Lakes Brewing Company, Cleveland’s oldest operating brewery. Take a brewery tour (beer samples included!) to see the production facility and experience the brewing process firsthand. Afterwards, grab a bite to eat and relax at the neighboring beer garden. One brewery tour not enough for your group? Hop aboard the Cleveland Brew Bus, which provides guided tasting tours for nine different routes, including downtown breweries, small breweries and new breweries.

Where to Stay

You’ll find most major hotel chains in the city’s downtown area, which is a perfect home base for any Cleveland bachelor party. The Marriott Downtown at Key Center, DoubleTree by Hilton Cleveland Lakeside and Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade are relatively affordable and put you within walking distance to most attractions. If your group is looking to splurge a bit, stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland, which offers upscale suites, a state-of-the-art fitness center, lounge area with personal concierge, and a contemporary restaurant.

If unique accommodations are more your speed, Cleveland is home to several boutique hotels with trendy hipster vibes. The Metropolitan at the 9, Aloft Cleveland Downtown, and Kimpton Schofield Hotel all have stylish decor and swanky amenities. You can also find a variety of modern vacation rental homes and condos throughout downtown Cleveland — a great idea if you have a larger group and want everyone in one place.

For those who aren’t afraid of roughing it, the Cleveland lakefront and greater Cleveland area are dotted with rental cabins, campgrounds and RV parks.
