WR - air brush foundation and false lashes

NowMissyL, on February 25, 2011 at 2:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

What is everyone's opinions on false lashes and air brush foundation? I've been looking through make up and hair boutiques and they have air brush foundation and false lashes as extra expenses. To expand on this a little further, who are or did you have do your hair and makeup? I'm looking for Minnesota locations personally but please add wherever you went in the US, if you'd like Smiley smile

I'm a big fan of both. They are extra, but not expensive at all. I have very few lashes, so I wear false eyelashes quite frequently. I also love the flawless look of airbrush makeup- in the hands of a skilled MUA. Definitely get a trial done- because not everyone can do a good job at it.

I loved airbrush make-up, it looks really great on camera and it also lasts all night. Mine was even difficult to take off after the wedding...as far as false eyelashes, I loved them...my mua included mine and so maybe you can find one that will include it in the price.

I had never even thought of doing airbrushing but the biggest seller was "long lasting" even if I cried!! So I went for a trial when doing my bridal photos & was impressed although it felt thick but she explained to me she did heavier for better pics & the pics look awesome. For the wedding day she did it much lighter & i loved it!! Plus I looked flawless all day Smiley smile Of course I could see a difference b/c normally I dont wear foundations or anything (just on special occasions) but the face of DH when he saw me was priceless. Personally I didnt do false lashes b/c I dont like how they look...my MUA just flipped mine & put mascara & they were nice Smiley smile Good luck

As a photographer, both are great for your images. The false eyelashes really make your eyes stand out and not look washed out. The airbrushing, as stated above, is long lasting.

I am interested in both but have a question about the airbrush makeup. Does it come off on hands, clothes, etc? I am so tired of the foundation stain on every piece of paper I pick up! Arrgghh!

I definitely want to do airbrush foundation -- I'm still debating about false eye lashes -- mine are pretty long and thick as it is if I do the mascara right.

I'd recommend "trying" both of them just to see-- most MUA will be more than happy to do a trial run for both.

I did both. I loved my airbrush make up, my skin looked great in my pictures! (if I do say so myself).

As far as false lashes go, you can sometimes save money if you buy the lashes yourself and then just have the MUA apply them for you. I have a friend who wears false lashes every day (yep-EVERY day) and she's used them all from Walgreens brand to MAC and she says the run of the mill kind she gets at Sally's Beauty supply for $3-$4 are just as good at the expensive ones from the mall.

I am getting my make-up airbrushed. I had my first trial and I LOVED the way it felt and looked. My skin is very sensitive and prone to break out if I use anything heavy like cream liquid or cream solid foundation. I often use powder foundation because that's the only kind that doesn't break me out. I was a little concerned about how my skin would react to the airbrush makeup, but I had no reaction at all. My MUA is charging me $110 for airbrush and fake lashes and I live in New Jersey.

I wore false lashes at my wedding. I have pics on my blog: http://genevieveswedding.blogspot.com/

I bought my own lashes from target (the kit with the individual lashes). I had Mel from the St. Anthony Ficocello's do my hair, makeup, and put on the lashes for me. I would definitely recommend her. She also helped me with my hair color!
