Would you rather... someone propose at your reception, or give a horrible toast?

You made it all the way to the reception and then things start to go a little off-plan... Would you rather have a proposal happen at your wedding, or suffer through a terrible toast? I'll suffer through the bad toast! Did he really have to propose tonight? Next Question: Would you rather... plan...

I'll suffer through the bad toast!

Next Question: Would you rather... plan your wedding in three months or three years?

Previous Question: Would you rather... knock over the cake or trip walking down the aisle?

Someone propose at the reception. A little odd, but talk about an honor!

I would LOVE if someone proposed at my wedding! I saw a bouquet toss where the bride pretended to throw then handed it to a girls whose boyfriend then came out and proposed. I've tried to hint to a friend that's getting close to proposing but I don't think it'll happen.

A terrible toast. I'm sorry but my wedding reception is not a free engagement party for them if they propose at that time. then everyone is focusing on the new engaged couple and not as much for the bride and groom. people will be trying to congratulate both couples in stead of the couple who just tied the knot.

I would freak out if someone proposed at my reception. That would be classless and tacky!! My wedding day is about myself and the groom. I am not sharing the spotlight! I may be selfish, but at least I'm honest.

Bad toast. I just think a proposal at a wedding is a little bit of stealing someone else's thunder.

Proposal- I'd rather give the guests something exciting and fun to talk about rather than having somebody made uncomfortable all night long, or made fun of, by a bad toast.

Proposal. As long as they ask us first. It's faster and way better than everyone sitting through a horrible toast. Share the love!!!

Honestly not sure on this one I've seen some bad toasts that are long but a proposal is quick also takes a small shift away from things already planned.

I couldn't agree with you more, it is tacky and thoughtless. Why not plan something wonderful, unique and special for the person they want to marry and have their family and friends around so it can be about them and their new engagement the entire day.

Exactly! Totally agree, nobody better not even try that mess at my wedding.....unless of course it's my brother, who I love very much and would make an exception for Smiley smile but he would have to give me the heads up. ( I don't think he would do that though). Anybody else will get quickly shut down.
