I am not into toasts, period. I don't see anything wrong with someone proposing but highly doubt anyone would do it publicly.

Proposal without a doubt. It wouldn't give me bad memories or upset me. I'm a romantic, so if our day inspired someone to pop the question, I'd take it as a huge compliment.

As long as the proposer gave me a heads up first, I'd prefer that. Heck, even without the heads up, I'd still prefer that. Especially if it was to one of my friends. I'd be ecstatic for them.

Both are inappropriate but I would rather someone propose, as unlikely as that is to actually happen. Toasts/speeches always make me cringe and it would be more stressful to sit through toasts, so we are not having them.
