Would you rather... someone propose at your reception, or give a horrible toast?

You made it all the way to the reception and then things start to go a little off-plan... Would you rather have a proposal happen at your wedding, or suffer through a terrible toast? I'll suffer through the bad toast! Did he really have to propose tonight? Next Question: Would you rather... plan...

I'll suffer through the bad toast!

Next Question: Would you rather... plan your wedding in three months or three years?

Previous Question: Would you rather... knock over the cake or trip walking down the aisle?

A proposal. I'm the odd person who really isn't bothered by that idea as long as they didn't try to upstage or monopolize the reception.

Suffer through a horrible toast! It's mad disrespectful to propose at someone else's wedding-I would cut those people out my life.

Proposal. My sister gave my fiancé that chance at her wedding but he didn't want to steal her day. As long as it was a family member or close friend and they asked me first, I'd be more than happy to share the day with them Smiley smile

Proposal if they cleared it with me first. But who would want their special proposal moment to happen at a wedding? I feel like that would take away from both moments rather than add to them. But depending on how horrible the speech was, that might be so bad. We would probably all laugh it off. And since it's a bilingual wedding, some people might not understand what's being said anyway.

I discussed this one with my fiancé. We agree the bad toast is preferable. Hopefully someone would follow it with a good toast and we can edit the bad one from our video. But I wouldn't want my hashtag hijacked by someone else's engagement photos. Lol

Horrible toast - why anyone thinks it's OK to propose at anyone's party I don't understand.

A horrible toast! A bad toast you will be able to look back at and laugh, eventually if not right away, but someone proposing at my wedding would just really upset me.

Bad toast for sure! I have already told my sister and her man that keep talking about getting engaged that I would strangle him if he did it at our wedding! I am pretty sure his toast (he's the BM) will be bad as he will be drunk and have no filter and he very well may make a joke about proposing :/ lol

I'd rather a bad toast. Even if someone asked me if they could propose at my wedding, I still think its incredibly tacky and if they didn't ask I would be livid. There are 364 other days of the year.

Horrible toast. People will probably forget about it soon enough and just move on with the night. I would just find a proposal rude.

I’m so torn! Bad toasts can be brutal, but I feel like they always look worse on the person who gave the toast and not the couple!

If a really close friend proposed at our wedding I’d be so happy!! But if wasn’t one of our best friends I just think I’d be confused and annoyed!

I was thinking bad toast until i read the comments. I think i'd prefer the proposal. We have a relatively close knit group attending our wedding so anyone that would have the opportunity to propose would be a close friend or family so I'd happily share the day.
