Would you rather... diy your floral arrangements or get a professional?

Yerania, on October 24, 2018 at 12:34 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 23

Are you crafty and/or sentimental? Have you thought about making your own arrangements and saving some money? Or do you leave it to the professionals to create your vision? Maybe there could be a compromise between DIY and professional?

I’d love to just hire someone to do it! Unfortunately, they want too much money 💴

Oh I had a professional. I love florals and am just not creative. I didn’t have time to put together all the tables’ centerpieces, the alter centerpieces’, bouquets, etc and admire those who can DIY!

I’m personally not a big DIY person & flowers were a top 5 for me. We hired a professional.

I'd love to hire a professional but it's just not in the budget so I'll be doing it all my self!

Definitely hiring pros for the flowery stuff (except one small swag to go over our welcome sign) definitely helps the centerpieces are covered in our venue package. And I'm ordering sola wood bouquets/bouts for the ladies and gents

Definitely DIY. I'm very crafty and I have the extra time to do it! We are using real florals so they will be delivered 3 days before the wedding, I'm excited!

We got quotes from professionals and they wanted way too much for what we were envisioning and I purposefully went with something more simple to save money. I'm saving about $2500 by doing them myself!

I love a good DIY - but I also know my limits lol. We did a lot of DIY projects. Paintings, escort cards, decorations, tons of stuff. Flowers though - even though I had considered it, we ended up going with a pro. When we priced it all out based on the flowers we liked and the amount we wanted (which wasn't too much, really...) the price to hire a florist was only about $100 more, and they knew what they were doing! Smiley winking SO GLAD we hired a pro!

I did diy for my centerpieces bc I just refuse to pay $100 per table for flowers. But we are paying for the arch and bouquets to be done bc we want them to look really awesome in the ceremony and portrait photos.

We hired a professional, who happened to be my moms bff. She has been in the business for 30 years and made our wedding look like a million bucks. Flowers and other floral decor really made our space pop and I'm beyond thankful.

Definitely DIY. For my style at least, I don't need a professional. I am very picky about everything anyways so I may as well do it on my own Smiley tongue . I think DIY floral arrangements are very sweet & can be very unique. Smiley heart

Hi! I know this is off topic, but where is that pink dress from? Love the color!

Im using both DIY and part professional. In the beginning of being crazy excited about planning a wedding I wanted to do everything myself. I am not crafty at all!! But I am very sentimental and I want to keep everything from our wedding. Well long story short there r just some things I just am not going to do so I found the next best thing. I found a local shop that is an Etsy wonderland. This woman is amazing and a seamstress. I had been working on my centerpiece prototype for months and just couldn't get it how I envisioned. On my second visit with Brenda I showed her a picture of it. She gave me 1 simple suggestion and now its perfect. So I am going to buy alot of the materials and Brenda will put things together for me. My bouquet, bouts, corsages, sewing my back drop, making a beaded valance for my backdrop, making custom dresses for my daughters, alterations on my dress and she is customizing all my jewlery with purple stones. My centerpieces, signs and other parts of the backdrop I am doing myself.

I would have loved to hire a pro but my SIL is a interior decorator and she DIY'd all our florals.

She says it's from the babaroni website. She says there's a good selection. Another pink BM got hers from David's Bridal also if that's helpful

Me and my mom are buying flowers and making centerpieces. I recommend looking on Pinterest! Cute ideas and it’s super easy to make. I’m making the bouquets and boutineers for the wedding party and it’s was a lot cheaper than hiring someone

I DIYed majority of my wedding (signs, favors, invites, decor, etc) but the flowers were the one thing i rather not deal with! I'm pretty crafty but I am not a florist! and I want real flowers at my wedding. So we hired a florist..and to be honest her price was maybe $200 more than what i would have spent DIY flowers through wholesale.
