In September? Probably. Depends on how overboard you go with the decorations.

Not if you didn't make it tacky! Just don't put red and pink everywhere ... go classic (not commercial) romantic maybe?

Nah i don't think its tacky. If its what you want then go for it, who cares what anyone else thinks!

ETA: I agree with the comments above me. Stay classy with it. Dont be completely obvious (hearts and cupids everywhere lol) Stick with the color scheme.

Not tacky as long as there aren't like hearts and Cupids everywhere lol. I believe AlmostMrsKing's wedding is on Valentine's Day, and it sounds like it's going to be beautiful.

Just like with anything else, as long as it is done right it isnt tacky. It's the difference between having a song sung by Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. They both can sing for sure.. But one version will be SO OVERDONE AND OVER THE TOP you can't even appreciate the song, and you end up just wishing it would end. lol dont ask me why i used that analogy IDK where the hell my mind is... smh.

No not in September, I would push the date back to 2/14/15 . After the very long conversation with FH last night I think we need to push it back a Tad.And we did met Valentines Day weekend.

I agree. It's not tacky but it is cliche. Some people are into that though.

I'm getting married in February and wanted to avoid that day. One thing to keep in mind is that flowers are literally 50% more on Valentines Day than any other day of the year!

If you move the date, i think it would be a very cliche idea, but still makes a beautiful wedding. Be prepared that a lot of venues will charge more due to the amount of couples who want to get married that day. But you can also save a lot of money on decorations by buying them in the 75 percent off sales after VDay 2014!

Keep in mind prices go up at that time - flowers, hotels, etc.

I don't think it would be tacky. Just don't have shiny red hearts and cupids and you'll be fine. https://www.google.com/search?q=valentines+wedding&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=zZzBUt2aOqzIsAT31IGoDQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1221&bih=839

Lots of cute ideas for it on google.

I agree, stay away from any decorations you would see in a school and you could be okay. Again flowers and venues will probably be more expensive. Also, some people may prefer to spend Valentine's Day with their SO only or could have been planning a proposal on Valentine's Day (I am just playing Devil's advocate here, I don't have a problem with a Valentine's Day wedding at all)

Not tacky at all, but one thing to remember is venues and vendors usually will hike up prices!

Do you mean to choose Valentine's Day for your wedding or to have a Vday theme in September?

I don't think so . Just like the others said though don't go overboard with hearts and Cupid- Classic romance would be nice and even doing something for the other couples like an anniversary dance or a lot more slow dancing songs
