Dedicated November 2015

will you be my bridesmaid / maid of honor cards.

Haley, on November 16, 2014 at 11:14 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18

I want to send out some cute cards/gifts for my maid of honor and bridesmaids. Any opinions on what type of gift? Also, any insight on a good place to order cute cards from?

Thank you Valarie. I'm so worried about purchasing something from a site that's a scam. And those bracelets are too cute!

Alex, does Etsy only accept payment by PayPal? I've tried purchasing something from Etsy before, and the only payment form it was offering to use was a PayPal account.

I got my cards from etsy ...they said "now its my turn to pop the question" with little champagne bubbles on them so I just got a mini bottle of sparkling wine and a ring pop to go with them. It doesn't have to be over the top Smiley smile

@Haley...I think it depends on which shop you buy from. Some sellers only accept Paypal, while others accept Etsy giftcards or credit/debit cards. I've been able to use my debit card to pay for everything I've bought on Etsy.

This store is close to me- I got these http://www.papersource.com/item/Bridesmaid-Calligraphy-Letterpress-Wedding-Card/3929991135.html http://www.papersource.com/item/Be-Part-of-Our-Day-Wedding-Card/806816.html . The "it would be an honor" card was more like a postcard, which was a little weird, and I didn't know until I opened it, but I used it anyway,

I sent my niece and nephew cookies in the destination wedding theme who live out of state as well as to my MOH's family (husband and kids). I also made my MOH a bouquet. I sent my bridesmaid who lives in Greece a floral arrangement with a bottle of wine, suggesting that if she was thinking of saying no, she should have some wine as it helps with judgment.

Thank you all so much, you were very helpful! I'm sure I will find the perfect cards with all of your fabulous recommendations! And Alex, thank you that's what I was hoping, there were certain shops that didn't require a PayPal account.

I really liked mine. I got mine on Etsy and they were very reasonable.

I used this shop on Etsy:

I shop on etsy all the time just check the recent reviews before purchasing. So this is my personal opinion on buying accompanying gifts. I would skip them for now and wait until the day of the wedding. I say this because asking someone with a gift may put them on the spot. It happened to me when someone asked me to be a bridesmaid and already bought me a bracelet. I actually did not want to be a bridesmaid but felt obligated because the gift was already pre purchased like she hand't even considered the fact that I would want to decline. Just something to think about.

@Allyisa02 , thanks for the advice, that's a good idea. I'll just stick with cards for now then!

I scrapbook so I made cards for my wedding party with some of my supplies and gave it to them in person.

My flower girls live far away so I sent them each a flower girl doll and asked them over facetime when they opened it.

@ Elyse that is sooo awesome! Great choice of rum too!

I sent out this card and a pair of earrings for each girl. I live 5 -7 hours from all of them so I just mailed it. I got the idea and wording of etsy, somewhere.
