Who is getting ready with you morning of?

Leesha, on June 5, 2015 at 2:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 20

Who is getting ready with you the morning of your big day??

I sort of just want my BM's with my the morning before I get married, I have a feeling that my mom will want to be with me though... But her and I do not have a great relationship, and I truly worry about her ruining my mood on the day of..(she is really good at making me miserable ;s)

I cant wait to hear what everyone else is doing!

Pretty much everyone, both moms and all the bridesmaids are going to be getting hair/makeup done with me in my hotel room, so we will all be getting ready together

All the girls will be coming to my moms to do hair and makeup, We are going to provide food and champagne and I can't wait!!!! Can you do the same? Maybe if there is a lot of people there your mom will have more to focus on?

I am really private and can get stressed out easily so I got ready alone. My mom died long ago and my BMs would have stressed me out (not because of them, but because of me) so it was me and the hair/makeup chick, then just me until it was time to meet my dad. I was sooo calm and happy, too!

I want it to be my whole BP and both of our moms and asked FMIL if it could be at her house so the pictures are better (the wedding is in FL where she lives, my parents live in PA). I brought it up when FH and I were out to lunch with our parents a few weeks ago though and my mom got up from lunch and went to the bathroom upset. Sooooo now I'm not sure

Probably just the bridesmaids and my mom. FMIL has her mother and MIL to take care of, both older, both need help, and she's going to have her hands full (though I invited her).

I think it will probably be the bridesmaids and my mom. FMIL is welcome but it doesn't seem like she wants her makeup done, and her hair is super short so it won't really need styling... I'm looking forward to that morning! Ahh, so exciting.

My BMs, my mom and FMIL will all be getting ready together, at the hotel suite. They send up food and mimosas. I agree with what others said, maybe include BMs and that will even your mom out?

I have the same thing going on @Leesha. My mom and I are not close, but I am really close to my grandmother. I would like my grandmother to be there and my bm's and moh's. I actually would like us all to get ready at the ceremony/reception site in the bridal suite. It's still early, so we shall see.

My mom, 4 bridesmaids, and FH's 2 nieces/our flower girls (their mom is in BP). I think FMIL is coming to the salon with us, but I'm not sure if she'll be coming back to my parents' house to get dressed and go to the church.

My BMs and my mom if she wants her hair and make up done, but I will leave that up to her. Apparently we have to start getting ready around 10:00am for my 6:00pm wedding. I wouldn't want to make Mom sit through girl time for that long unless she wanted to be there.

My bridesmaids, both our moms, and the flower girls will be there for a little bit. We're all getting hair and makeup done in the hotel suite.

I would love it to be just my MoH (Sister) and have my other 2 bridesmaids join a bit later. But my mom seems to see it as a whole family affair and wants all 7 of my aunts and grandma and cousins there as well. I also had 3 conversations with my mom so far about how she can't use my MUA/stylist as there simply will not be enough time for the MUA to do me, 3 bridesmaids, my mom, and 7 aunts. Argh!

Right now the plan is for me and my MOH to stay together the night before and then we will meet up with everyone at my dads to get ready and also set up the venue. My mom will probably want to be there, but like you, @OP, the relationship we have is different. I am just planning on using my bridal party as buffers. Also, FMIL will be there in the morning to help me with getting ready and setting up so that should help too.

ChristineKyle1108, honestly I have no idea Smiley sad I still haven't talked to her about it almost a month later and she pretended like nothing was wrong afterwards. The entire weekend was rough and she was kind of standoffish the whole time. REALLY not looking forward to both her and FMIL being around each other again...

Oh no! I hope it blows over WWKatie and doesn't get brought up again. That's not a fun situation to be in.
