Who else can't work due to wedding planning distraction overload?!

Pegs, on April 3, 2018 at 10:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 38

I have a pretty standard 8 to 5 job and because I have access to a computer the entire time, I find myself doing everything but work lol

Let's just say if my manager searched my internet history, he'd be seeing a lot of WW, Pinterest, and who knows what other wedding nonsense.

I also realized I'll be super bored at work after the wedding lol

The best part of my old job was the fact that I had hours of just watching participants. I would pull up my iPad and wedding plan with half an eye ball on the participant.

I know for sure that I get distracted and start wedding planning. I also have a standard 8 to 5 job and on the computer all day long. So if my boss checked mine too he would fine the same thing. Lots of WW, pinterest, and other wedding shenanigans.

DITTO. I can't wait to actually be able to focus at work again. I was just telling FH last night that my work day is about 50/50 work and wedding planning.

For sure! It's so hard to concentrate when your mind keeps drifting to crunching numbers, questioning the meal choices, what invitations to order, wondering if I will still love my dress, ceremony songs, how I really need to find shoes, head table or sweetheart table, color schemes, excel spreadsheets, etc, etc, etc! It doesn't help that I'm also on the computer all day at work. I really need to get a grip!

I work from home so I have the luxury of wedding planning from my phone rather than my work computer. And no one can see me 🙃

I work overnights so there is a large downtime befteeen 2-4 am. Most my planning time is between those times. I made my first draft of tables between those times

I may or may not be cutting out paper flowers at my desk during downtime...

This why I am going working part-time during our 22 month engagement, so I have time to wedding plan. It wasn't on purpose in the beginning...I was recovering from a terrible auto accident and was medically forced to work part-time while I attended rehab and recovered...I just extended it by a year.

I'm doing the exact same thing but my manager just got back from getting married/her honeymoon and is super understanding since she did a lot of the same thing.

My old company ended up blocking wedding wire and I'm 99% sure it was because I was on it all the time. Hated that job and ended up quitting after I finished up the biggest parts of wedding planning.

...I'm literally at work on WW right now haha! I plan most of my wedding at work, since I hardly ever have time to even sit on my couch afterwards. Any time I have any question pop into my head about the wedding, I'm either here or on Google. It's awful, I have been doing this for months, and my wedding isn't even until October!
