I also realized I'll be super bored at work after the wedding lol

This is a time-honored tradition! I watched several former bosses plan their weddings. I'm in school full-time though so I'm not on the clock, which makes it too easy to push off coursework in favor of wedding planning. I've definitely done some projects on wedding-related companies too in order to justify my fascination.

Me! I work a desk job where I have to wait for the people before me to do their task, then it gets to me and I'm busy for a bit, then I'm waiting again lol. I have nooo idea what I'm going to do with all my downtime at work once the wedding is over!

What are these jobs with so much down time? I monitor surgery for most of the day so my mind is on my patient 100% of the time.

Smiley xd I would call it anxiety in my case. I am 31 days out and my head is spinning. I need to focus on a thousand things but my "to-do" list is greater than my desire to work on anything else.

and yes, I think work will be super boring after my wedding!

I did have this problem but I just switched jobs and my desk is in an open plan office now so that put a stop to it. I'd rather spend any downtime in the lab than surrounded by other people. Not that it really matters, as far as wedding planning goes it was pretty unproductive planning, more just mindlessly trawling pinterest and ww

Seriously!!! And I still have over a year and a half to go!! Pinterest, WeddingWire, the "other" wedding website lol, YouTube for wedding videos, you name it!!! I can't concentrate... probably should try harder so I keep the job that's helping pay for said wedding! Smiley xd

My work schedule somewhat varied at the beginning of our engagement so I did get some stuff done at work- mostly working overnights when there was downtime. Since the summer, my job takes 100% of my attention when I'm there (which is only part time anyways) and as the wedding got closer and I had more anxiety, I actually liked having an escape from wedding planning. It was a good reminder that life will continue after the wedding.
