It probably depends on where you are. In PA I'd say wedding season lasts from May through October.

I think it depends on where you live. In Philadelphia, April, May, June, September and October are considered peak seasons. Most of the venues that I look at only had December-March as off season.

I don't think it is. I heard something about Nov-March being off season.

I had a friend get married in Sept last year and another friend getting married in Sept this year.

Depends on your location. In NJ/NYC, November, Jan, Feb and March.

September is one of the most popular months to get married. Definitely not off season.

Typically November-March is the "off season" - Except for the week/ends of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. I guess more and more brides are getting married over the actual holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas because it "kills two birds with one stone" in terms of having family available to attend. So, because of this they will charge peak rates during these weeks.

September is definitely still in season and peak wedding month.

Typically depending on where you live you off season is November to April.

At my venue, off-season is consisted November through April. Those months are significantly discounted in terms of the venue rental fee ($1500 during these months compared to $6000 for the rest of the year). The food / alcohol pricing does not change though; just the venue fee.

ETA - in many places, September is actually the MOST popular wedding month! Definitely not off-season.

My FSIL is a wedding hair stylist and she is extremely busy from April trough the beginning of November. So i would say Nov- March is considered off season.

November is still a popular month. December is less popular, January, February and March tend to be the off season.

Nope, September is definitely not off season. Where I live, I would say off season would be November-March/April.

September is not off-season everywhere. It and October are very popular months to get married in. If you want off season look in to November - March.

It'll depend on the venue and the geographic location. Our venue doesn't have specific off-season dates, but did consider our November date to be off-season. Other places are off-season in January through March. September is definitely not off-season most anywhere.

Michelle, If you are looking for an off season discount then maybe you should consider choosing a date other than Saturday. Some vendors including myself often offer discounts for weddings held on a weekday for example. I hope this helps :-)

Michelle- I'm also in Florida. I was told off season here is mid June to the end off August for weddings. It's hot and people don't want to come to Florida to get married then.

If you want a September wedding, consider looking at Labor Day weekend or a Friday/Sunday. We got a pretty good discount for doing a Friday wedding.

November through April here in eastern PA.

Winter months will usually be the cheapest and July and August since they are very hot.

We were still considered off season even though it was a holiday weekend (Thanksgiving). No one charged us more for having it then. We also got discounts on flowers, the cake, etc. Definitely off season.
