Where did you get your address stamp?

Caroline, on December 30, 2015 at 8:31 AM Posted in Planning 0 30

I'm hoping to order invitations soon and I've also been thinking about buying a return address stamp to make life easier. They aren't too expensive so I figure it's probably worth it.

Where did you order yours from? I've seen so many different sellers.. Etsy, random websites, Vistaprint, etc. The Vistaprint ones look affordable, but the reviews aren't great.

Any help is appreciated Smiley smile

Would you judge me if I said I used the free labels that St. Judes sends in the mail? hahahaha

    Etsy.

But here's a lesson we learned the hard way: the envelopes we got from wedding paper divas had a glossy finish and the ink stamp would not dry on them. We ruined a bunch of envelopes before we figured it out. FH ended up printing return address stickers.

I got my stamp from simplystamps.com. Our envelopes also had a slight gloss to them so when I stamped them, I laid them flat to dry. Only took a minute or so and was still cheaper than the address labels imo.

I got mine from Etsy, and it worked great! It was self-inking and I was skeptical that it wouldn't make it through everything, but it did! My only complaint (which was my own fault) was that I ordered from Asia and didn't realize it, so it took almost a month to get it in the mail.

I got mine from StampJoy on Etsy as well. Our invites were printed with guest and return addresses already, so I really bought it to make thank you cards easier and I'm loving it so far as a few gifts have started trickling in Smiley smile

I didn't get a return address stamp, but I got a custom stamp from etsy--Hello World Stamps. I sent what I wanted and got exactly that image! They also do return addresses.

Also got one on Etsy from lovetocreatestamps. I bought a wooden handle stamp with silver ink. We decided to go with the cotton envelopes from wedding paper divas instead of the metallic ones so we could print and stamp on them.

I bought a ReMarks one on Amazon. It is a self-inking stamp with a changeable die-plate, so you can change the design of the stamp. It came with a thank you design and a certificate for a custom design.

Ordering the custom one was easy. You could pick from template designs or create your own. I chose to create mine, so that it matched the font on my invites.

I love that I can change the design when we buy a house without replacing the whole stamp.
